MindRank Initiates Phase III Clinical Trial of Oral Small Molecule GLP-1 Receptor Agonist MDR-001 for Weight Management

On December 10, 2025, MindRank registered a Phase III clinical trial on Clinicaltrials.gov for the small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist MDR-001 in the treatment of obesity or overweight indications.

In June this year, MindRank announced MDR-001 twice daily.Phase 2b Clinical Data of Oral Regimen: MDR-001 Achieves 10.3% Weight Loss at 24 Weeks, Placebo Group Loses 2%.4kg, In terms of safety, a rapid titration dosing strategy of around 8 weeks was adopted. No drug-related serious adverse events occurred during the trial. The treatment discontinuation rate due to adverse events was only 0.8%; no risk of increased heart rate was observed throughout the trial.
