The China Healthcare Big Data Industry Innovation Competition (CDHIC) is currently at its most intense stage. Following the finals in the Beijing division (July 8) and the Guangzhou division (July 28), the Hangzhou division final will be held on August 4 at Dream Town, No. 1399 Liangmu Road, Yuhang District, Hangzhou.

Fertile Ground for Innovation: An Open and Proactive Attitude Propels the Hangzhou Division to Become a Key CDHIC Competition Zone
Zhejiang is home to global tech giants like Alibaba and world-renowned universities such as Zhejiang University, demonstrating the province’s robust capacity and technical foundation to support and nurture the implementation of emerging technologies. As the capital of Zhejiang Province, a major e-commerce hub in China, and a "New First-Tier City," Hangzhou attracts numerous entrepreneurs and innovators who strive to realize their aspirations. Meanwhile, proactive government support, coupled with the open, positive, and inclusive attitudes of medical institutions and physicians toward new technologies and products, has made Hangzhou a fertile ground for healthcare innovation. Consequently, the Hangzhou division is a key competitive segment of the China Digital Health Innovation Contest (CDHIC).
Themed around the character “Yong” (Courage), this regional final highlights the spirit of medical innovators and entrepreneurs who strive bravely and pursue excellence relentlessly, while also encouraging projects shortlisted for the Hangzhou division finals to showcase themselves with confidence and achieve outstanding results.
40+ Professional Judges Rigorously Select Competition Projects, 50+ Top Investment Institutions Deeply Scout “High-Potential Stocks”
The finals of the Hangzhou division will officially commence at 9:00 AM and conclude at 6:00 PM on the morning of August 4. Each project in the Rising Star category will have a 15-minute roadshow slot (including a 10-minute presentation and a 5-minute Q&A session), while each project in the Angel Star category will have a 12-minute slot (including an 8-minute presentation and a 4-minute Q&A session). Thirty high-quality medical innovation projects will compete for first, second, and third place in both the Angel Star and Rising Star categories, vying for the limited spots to advance to the national finals.
On the day of the finals, over 40 professional judges will conduct a rigorous evaluation of the shortlisted projects across six dimensions: technology and service model, business model, management team, industry and market, financial analysis, and on-site Q&A. Meanwhile, representatives from more than 50 top-tier investment institutions will attend the event to observe the project pitches, with promising projects potentially securing partnership opportunities on the spot.

High Educational Background + High Revenue + Deep Innovation: Shortlisted Projects Demonstrate Strong Overall Competitiveness
According to statistics from VCBeat, the medical innovation projects shortlisted for the finals of the Hangzhou division are generally of high quality. After preliminary scoring, the vast majority of projects scored above 70 and have secured Series A or later rounds of financing. The core team members of these projects generally hold advanced degrees; statistics show that more than 20 individuals hold master’s degrees, and over 30 hold doctoral degrees. Meanwhile, the shortlisted projects demonstrate strong revenue-generating capabilities. Statistics indicate that eight projects have annual revenues of RMB 10 million or more, while three projects have revenues between RMB 5 million and RMB 10 million.
Furthermore, the shortlisted projects span a wide range of fields. According to statistics from VCBeat, these projects cover areas such as digital health, healthcare informatics, primary care, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, general wellness, maternal and child health, and TMT data. Among these, the digital health and healthcare informatics sectors have the highest number of projects and achieve higher comprehensive scores. The healthcare informatics projects that advanced to this regional final predominantly focus on big data and artificial intelligence (AI). In light of the overall industry trend in 2017, characterized by the integration of “big data + AI + healthcare,” these projects are poised to deliver new intelligent solutions and drive fresh growth opportunities for traditional informatics enterprises. Within the digital health sector, AI remains a highly sought-after innovative technology. As an indispensable component of the industry, the incorporation of AI is expected to significantly enhance the speed of disease assessment, diagnostic accuracy, and drug development progress, while reducing costs.
