Director of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, Changzheng Hospital; Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He specializes in the imaging diagnosis of thoracic diseases, particularly lung cancer, with a focus on the classification and radiological management of pulmonary nodules. He has long been engaged in early lung cancer screening and precision diagnosis, and his team’s diagnostic accuracy ranks among the leading in China. He serves as the President-Elect of the Chinese Society of Radiology under the Chinese Medical Association, Chairman of the China Medical Imaging AI Industry-Academia-Research-Application Innovation Alliance, Vice President of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of the CT Application Professional Committee of the China Medical Equipment Association, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Radiology, among other positions.

Professor Liu Shiyuan believesAligned with clinical workflows, it enhances efficiency and accuracy, offers a user-friendly human-computer interaction, and delivers high sensitivity and specificity, while providing terminal solutions tailored to examination sites and purposes....products are the AI products that hospitals truly need.

Professor Liu Shiyuan pointed out that the development of artificial intelligence in the field of medical imaging faces many challenges: 1.Data Quality Issues;2、Corresponding diagnostic report information is lacking.;3、Conceptual Issues

On September 26, Professor Liu Shiyuan, Director of the Department of Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, will attend the “Infinity” – 2018 World Forum on Medical Technology, hosted by VCBeat, Eggshell Research Institute, and the Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Coordination Department of the China High-Tech Industrialization Research Association, to share insights on the deeper integration of industry, academia, research, and application in AI-driven medical imaging.

[Conference Details]

We can now see that digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D printing, and the Internet of Things are impacting various industries, with continuous technological innovation disrupting the healthcare sector.

With the introduction of the “Development Plan for New-Generation Artificial Intelligence” and the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Medical Health,’” capital has poured in frenetically, high-valued AI enterprises have emerged one after another, and commercialization pathways continue to be explored;

With the release of the “Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan” and the establishment of three major health and medical data groups, the explosive growth in data—driven by declining costs of data acquisition from gene sequencing and wearable devices—has laid a scalable foundation for big data and AI analysis.

As the application of robots in China’s healthcare sector gains increasing recognition and becomes more widespread across various stages of diagnosis and treatment, medical robots—particularly surgical robots—have emerged as “high-demand products” within the robotics industry. Robotic systems are being increasingly deployed in hospitals, with domestic technologies steadily catching up to their foreign counterparts.

Medical 3D printing has entered a transitional phase from its initial to intermediate stage. Dental restoration and customized prosthetics have already achieved commercialization and are developing rapidly. Orthopedics has become a key focus of market competition, attracting various companies to establish their presence. New breakthroughs have been made in organ and tissue experiments, making human clinical applications promising.

In April this year, the National Health Commission released the “Standards and Specifications for Hospital Information Construction in China (Trial),” which clearly defines 21 application scenarios for IoT-based positioning and data monitoring. With the introduction of these standards, the industry’s direction has become increasingly clear, and scenario-based applications are beginning to stand out.

In the genomics sector, tumor detection is poised for rapid growth, microbiomics is gradually maturing under policy guidance, and consumer genetic testing has entered the “20-yuan” era.

Technological innovation enterprises have begun to explore their own paths for application implementation, scaling from 1 to N...

The 2018 World Forum on Medical Technology, themed “Infinity,” will be held at the Le Méridien Shanghai Minhang Baolong Hotel from September 26 to September 27, 2018.

This forum will bring together domestic and international medical service providers, listed companies, financial institutions, and healthcare innovation enterprises that prioritize technological innovation. It will explore five key dimensions—policy, capital, data, technology, and commercialization pathways—focusing on the commercial applications of five major technologies (artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, 3D printing, and genetic testing) within hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and third-party medical service providers. The event will feature eight core forums, discuss over 80 hot topics, and gather more than 80 distinguished guests, 100+ investors, 300+ entrepreneurs, and 30+ media representatives in Shanghai to spark intellectual exchange and foster collaboration.

If you are a government official, healthcare practitioner, or industry professional focused on technological innovation in health and medical care—including executives from healthcare IT companies, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical firms, and insurance companies; industry investors; healthcare media professionals; and leaders of listed or startup companies engaged in big data and AI-driven healthcare—this industry forum is tailor-made for “you.”
