Chen Jili, Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Shanghai Shibei Hospital in Jing’an District, is a Chief Physician. He serves as the academic leader for key medical specialties in Shanghai and Jing’an District. In August 2015, he was awarded the title of “Renowned Physician” under the former Zhabei District’s Renowned Physician Studio. In December 2016, he was included in Jing’an District’s Academic Leader Development Program, and in January 2017, he was listed in Shanghai’s Municipal- and District-Level Key Talent Training Program for the Prevention and Treatment of Ocular Diseases. He has secured nine municipal- and district-level research projects, published two monographs, and obtained nearly five million yuan in funding for discipline development, talent training, and scientific research.

Academic Appointments: Standing Committee Member of the Ophthalmology Professional Committee, China Medical Education Association; Committee Member of the Ophthalmology Branch, Chinese Geriatrics Society; Committee Member of the Medical Device Management Guidance Committee, China Medical Education Association; Committee Member of the Ophthalmic Medical Imaging and Information Subcommittee, China Non-Public Medical Institutions Association; Committee Member of the Ophthalmology Branch, Shanghai Medical Doctor Association; Committee Member of the Shanghai Ophthalmology Quality Control Expert Committee; Committee Member of the Ophthalmology Branch, Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine; Committee Member of the Visual Rehabilitation Group and Neuro-ophthalmology Group, Ophthalmology Branch, Shanghai Medical Association.

Director Chen Jili believes thatThe application of artificial intelligence in the detection of diabetic retinopathy not only facilitates early disease prevention but also yields significant economic and social benefits, saving substantial healthcare expenditures, alleviating the financial burden on patients’ families, and creating immense social value.

Director Chen Jili believes that the R&D team of the software development companySufficient StrengthOnly in this way can we continuously optimize and “cultivate” our AI systems, refining products to achieve sufficiently high accuracy and sensitivity in fundus lesion detection. Such auxiliary diagnostic systems are what clinical practice will require in the future. It is already a consensus that AI products will become important assistants for physicians, with their applications in hospitals becoming increasingly widespread.

On September 26, Dr. Chen Jili, Director of the Department of Ophthalmology at Shanghai Jing’an District Shibei Hospital, will attend the “Infinity” – 2018 World Forum on Medical Technology, hosted by VCBeat, VBInsight, and the Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Coordination Department of the China High-Tech Industrialization Research Association, where he will share insights on the innovative R&D and clinical applications of artificial intelligence products.

[Conference Details]

We can now see that digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D printing, and the Internet of Things are impacting various industries, with continuous technological innovation disrupting the healthcare sector.

With the introduction of the “Development Plan for New-Generation Artificial Intelligence” and the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Medical Health,’” capital has flooded into the sector, giving rise to numerous high-valued AI companies, while commercialization pathways continue to be explored.

The “Healthy China 2030” Planning Outline was released, and three major health and medical data groups were established. The explosive growth of data, driven by the declining costs of data acquisition from gene sequencing and wearable devices, has laid a scalable foundation for big data and AI analysis.

With the growing acceptance of robotic applications in China’s healthcare sector and their widespread adoption across various stages of diagnosis and treatment, medical robots—particularly surgical robots—have become “high-demand products” in the robotics industry. Robots are increasingly being deployed in hospitals, with domestic technologies steadily catching up to international counterparts.

Medical 3D printing has entered a transitional phase from its initial to intermediate stage. Applications such as dental restoration and customized prosthetics have already achieved commercialization and are experiencing rapid growth. Orthopedics has become a key battleground for market competition, attracting various enterprises to establish their presence. Breakthroughs in organ and tissue experimentation offer promising prospects for future clinical applications in humans.

In April this year, the National Health Commission released the "Standards and Specifications for Hospital Information Construction in China (Trial)," which clearly defined 21 application scenarios for IoT-based positioning and data monitoring. With the introduction of these standards, the direction of the IoT industry has become increasingly clear, and scenario-based applications are beginning to stand out;

In the genomics sector, tumor detection is poised for rapid growth, microbiomics is gradually maturing under policy guidance, and consumer genetic testing has entered the “200-yuan era.”

Technology innovation enterprises have begun to explore their own paths for application implementation, scaling from 1 to N...

The 2018 World Forum on Medical Technology, themed “Infinity,” will be held at the Le Méridien Shanghai, Minhang Baolong Hotel from September 26 to September 27, 2018.

This forum will bring together domestic and international medical service providers, listed companies, financial institutions, and healthcare innovation enterprises that prioritize technological innovation. Discussions will center on five key dimensions: policy, capital, data, technology, and commercialization pathways. The event will explore the commercial applications of five major technologies—artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, 3D printing, and genetic testing—within hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and third-party medical service organizations. The program features eight core forums covering over 80 hot topics, and has invited more than 80 industry leaders, 100+ investors, 300+ entrepreneurs, and 30+ media representatives to gather in Shanghai for intellectual exchange and collaboration.

If you are a government official, healthcare practitioner, or industry professional focused on technological innovation in health and medical care—including executives from healthcare IT companies, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical firms, and insurance companies; industry investors; healthcare media professionals; and leaders of listed or startup companies engaged in big data and AI-powered healthcare—this industry forum is tailor-made for “you.”
