On the morning of September 6, a delegation of 18 individuals from the Third Group of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress Chaoyang District Delegation, led by Chen Hongzhi, Director of the Standing Committee of the Chaoyang District People’s Congress, and Deputy Directors Zhu Chunxia and Chang Shuqi, visited Wangjing Overseas Scholars Pioneer Park for research and inspection. Zhang Wei, Chairman of Wangjing Comprehensive Development Company, and Yan Wei, Chairman of the Incubation Company, accompanied the delegation. During the visit, the delegation toured Beijing Zechuang Tiancheng Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., an outstanding incubated enterprise at Wangjing Overseas Scholars Pioneer Park. Mr. Huang Yin, CEO of Zechuang Tiancheng, provided a detailed presentation to the leaders on the company’s development and R&D projects.

Founded in late 2015, Zechuang Tiancheng adheres to the philosophy of “enhancing clinical practice through scientific research and driving medical innovation with data.” Focusing on physician education and healthcare big data, the company is dedicated to exploring clinical research in the new era. Over the past two and a half years, Zechuang Tiancheng has assembled an outstanding entrepreneurial team spanning clinical medicine, public health, and computer technology, bringing together top talents from leading medical institutions both in China and abroad. The company provides comprehensive digital solutions for the healthcare industry, supporting the innovative development of China’s medical sector with high-quality data and professional technical services.

During the discussion, Huang Yin, CEO of Zechuang Tiancheng, noted that clinical research in China has developed rapidly in recent years. With the world’s most abundant case resources, the number of clinical studies in China has increased nearly twentyfold over the past decade. He emphasized that physicians’ capability in conducting clinical research constitutes “soft power,” while clinical research data serves as “hard currency.” Since securing multiple national projects under the 13th Five-Year Plan consecutively starting in 2016, Zechuang Tiancheng has focused on the clinical research sector, strengthening both upstream and downstream segments of the industry chain. The company established Yikaihui, a nationally leading educational platform for physicians engaged in clinical research. Additionally, it formed strategic partnerships with the Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the China Primary Care Respiratory Disease Prevention and Control Alliance. Transitioning from a single business model centered on medical big data, Zechuang Tiancheng has evolved into an innovative enterprise integrating scientific education, research data, and research services, thereby providing multifaceted research support to large medical institutions and primary healthcare facilities.

Amid ZeChuang Tiancheng’s diversified business operations, unwavering attention and support for the physician community remain central. Its flagship product, Yikaihui, has amassed substantial resources over more than two years, attracting expert lecturers from renowned medical universities and healthcare research institutions both in China and abroad. The educational platform has served over 100,000 clinical physicians, providing academic support and guidance to grassroots doctors through an “Internet + Clinical Research” model, thereby building a bridge for communication and exchange in clinical research.

Building on a foundation of professional data quality control and technical expertise, Zechuang Tiancheng has undertaken two national-level projects under the 13th Five-Year Plan and one project funded by the Premier’s Fund. The company collaborates with institutions such as China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, Peking University Third Hospital, and the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases. Additionally, in partnership with the School of Public Health at Peking University Health Science Center, it has established and operates the China Cohort Consortium (CCC) Platform, which has collected and managed data from more than 40 large-scale Chinese cohorts.

Currently, the scientific research big data platform covers multiple clinical research fields, including respiratory medicine, reproductive medicine, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. More than 800 medical centers and primary care clinics participate, extending its reach across provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions throughout China. By 2020, ZeChuang Tiancheng’s data platform will encompass data from 500,000 patients with specialized diseases.

Meanwhile, Zechuang Tiancheng is also actively expanding its offline clinical research services. By collaborating with the Chinese Primary Care Respiratory Disease Prevention and Treatment Alliance, the company aims to facilitate the decentralization of high-quality medical resources, enhance the research capabilities of primary care hospitals and healthcare professionals, and engage hospitals in second- and third-tier cities, primary healthcare institutions, physicians, and patients in real-world studies. This initiative seeks to collect more comprehensive disease data and promote the development of clinical research at the grassroots level.

Huang Yin stated that ZeChuang Tiancheng’s rapid development has been inseparable from government support and guidance. In the process of establishing a scientific research and innovation platform, the company has joined forces with enterprises across the upstream and downstream of the pharmaceutical industry chain to jointly promote the development of the digital healthcare and wellness sector. Currently, ZeChuang Tiancheng’s various business lines have cumulatively served nearly 200,000 physician users. “We aim to leverage advanced clinical research concepts and leading big data technologies to assist every physician in conducting high-level clinical studies, establish a growth framework for physician-scientists, accumulate high-quality clinical research data, and drive medical innovation through data, thereby fostering the development of China’s pharmaceutical industry.”

The Chaoyang District People’s Congress Delegation affirmed ZeChuang Tiancheng’s rapid development, encouraged physician-led scientific research and education, and expressed high expectations for the clinical research big data industry, with a view to making greater contributions to the development of the industrial park and the healthcare sector.
