It is reported that a total of 48 companies exhibited in the “Technological Innovation · Vibrant Zhangjiang” special zone, among which 25 were first-time exhibitors. The exhibits covered multiple core sectors, including brain-computer interfaces, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, next-generation information technology, industrial robots, artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy and new materials, comprehensively showcasing the hardcore strength of “Zhangjiang Creation.”
Converging a Matrix of Hardcore Technologies
World’s First Innovations Make a Grand Debut
Within the Zhangjiang Special Zone, globally first-in-class drugs and medical devices are frequently showcased.UniXellUX-DA001 injection is the world’s first iPSC-derived autologous cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease approved in both China and the United States, and its Phase I clinical trial is currently underway at Ruijin Hospital;Hengrun DashengRenikiolunsa Injection is the first lymphoma CAR-T product to achieve full-chain localization in China. Also showcased on-site were a mobile head MRI system and Asia’s first intelligent hair transplantation robot to receive medical device registration certification.
Among them, the latest product launched last year from a Zhangjiang-based enterprise in PudongInnogenThe independently developed Yisupaglutide α Injection has garnered significant attention. As the first approved human-derived ultra-long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist in Asia, this innovative drug attracted numerous attendees to seek information on-site.
Innogen, founded in 2014 and originating from Zhangjiang, has been dedicated to the research and development of innovative drugs in the field of metabolic diseases, possessing multiple self-developed pipelines targeting indications related to diabetes, obesity, and metabolic dysfunction. It is reported that since its market launch, the annual output value of Yisupaglutide α Injection reached RMB 340 million in 2025.
According to the person in charge of the exhibition area, this year’s Zhangjiang Special Zone closely aligns with the core requirements for building a “2+3+6+6” modern industrial system as outlined in Shanghai’s 15th Five-Year Plan. With advanced manufacturing as the backbone, it focuses primarily on the three leading industries—integrated circuits, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence—and strategically deploys across six future industry sectors: future manufacturing, future information, future materials, future energy, future space, and future health. “Following extensive preliminary collection, 39 exhibits at this event are first-of-their-kind in China, including 22 that are global premieres.”
From portable MRI scanners that “shrink ‘large equipment’ and accelerate life-saving diagnostics,” to cell dynamic imaging systems that make cells “visible to the naked eye”; from virtual patient computing platforms that “accelerate drug testing in the digital world,” to fully automated bonders that “build skyscrapers on a chip no larger than a fingernail”—these exhibits share a common name: Created in Zhangjiang.
Comprehensive Upgrade of Overseas Expansion Services for Technology Enterprises
In addition to cutting-edge exhibits, the Zhangjiang Special Zone at this event has also specially set up “Tech Enterprise Overseas Expansion Service Workstation”, inviting representatives of accredited overseas expansion service agencies to provide one-stop consulting services on-site, thereby building a bridge for two-way cooperation.
Reporters learned from the scene that the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center officially launched the “Strategic Partners for Tech Enterprises Going Global” ecosystem service system in 2025. By integrating resources such as policies, markets, finance, and legal services, the system provides end-to-end support ranging from strategic consulting to capital matchmaking, helping enterprises efficiently expand into overseas markets. Last year, five professional service institutions joined the ecosystem service system.
At this year’s Shanghai International Technology Fair, the member units of the “Strategic Partners for Chinese Tech Companies Going Global” ecosystem service system have once again expanded. Seven professional service institutions were awarded the title of “Shanghai Strategic Partners for Chinese Tech Companies Going Global,” joining hands to support Shanghai’s tech companies in their global expansion journey.

It is reported that the seven newly added institutions include Datuo Law Firm (Thailand), Postal Savings Bank of China Shanghai Free Trade Zone Branch, Mingjie Pharmaceutical, and Anker GROUP, covering multiple specialized fields such as cross-border legal services, overseas market access for pharmaceuticals, cross-border finance, intellectual property, and comprehensive overseas consulting. This expansion further strengthens the service chain and enhances Shanghai’s one-stop, end-to-end support capabilities for technology enterprises going global.
Zhang Zhuo, Managing Partner of Puzhu Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., based in Pudong, stated, “At this year’s Shanghai International Import Expo, numerous sci-tech innovation enterprises proactively sought consultations on global expansion, focusing primarily on market access, legal compliance, and fiscal and taxation systems across various countries. Moving forward, we will leverage the ‘Sci-Tech Enterprise Global Expansion Ecosystem Service System’ collaborative platform to continuously organize seminars and salon activities on overseas expansion. Our aim is to help enterprises overcome the ‘information asymmetry’ bottleneck, fully support the establishment of a high-quality ecosystem for global expansion services, and assist sci-tech innovation enterprises in connecting with global markets and steadily expanding their international presence.”
