On September 26, Fullerton Healthcare Group (“Fullerton Healthcare”), a leading integrated health solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region, and WeDoctor Holdings Limited (“WeDoctor”), a leading healthcare technology platform in China, signed a memorandum of understanding in Singapore. The two companies plan to join forces to build a health management technology platform serving Asia (the “Health Management Platform”), leveraging their synergistic advantages to comprehensively integrate online and offline medical services across the region.
This collaboration integrates Fullerton Health’s health management expertise and its network of healthcare facilities and service providers across the Asia-Pacific region with WeDoctor’s innovative digital health technology solutions and medical service network. The health management platform will connect WeDoctor’s 160 million real-name registered users in China with Fullerton Health’s more than 500 medical centers and over 8,000 healthcare service providers in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this platform, WeDoctor users will gain comprehensive access to Fullerton Health’s offline medical services. Furthermore, leveraging WeDoctor’s innovative digital health technology solutions, Fullerton Health will be able to further expand the scope of its medical services across the eight countries and regions in which it operates, supporting patients with online consultations.
Under the agreement, WeDoctor and Fullerton Health will join forces to establish and operate general practice and specialty clinics in China, and will set up corporate medical centers to accelerate the expansion of the corporate health services market. The corporate health services market has long been a strategic focus for both Fullerton Health and WeDoctor. This collaboration leverages Fullerton Health’s extensive experience and its client base across the Asia-Pacific region, combined with WeDoctor’s innovative smart clinic solutions, to deliver efficient and convenient healthcare services to corporate clients and their employees.
Chen Hongzhe, Chief Strategy Officer of WeDoctor, stated, “We are delighted to enter into this strategic partnership with Fulljoy Medical, which significantly strengthens WeDoctor’s HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) capabilities and drives the expansion of our business in Asia as well as the advancement of our internationalization strategy.”“China’s medical tourism industry is experiencing rapid growth, with an annual market size of approximately $10 billion. Seizing this opportunity, health management platforms can enable WeDoctor users to easily access world-class medical services through Fulljoy Healthcare’s robust network in Asia. We look forward to collaborating with Fulljoy Healthcare to build a health management platform covering the Asia-Pacific region.”
“Xin Dawei, Co-Founder, President and Vice Chairman of Fulljoy Medical Group, said: ‘We warmly welcome WeDoctor as our strategic partner. As China’s healthcare reform deepens, the new health management platform will be dedicated to providing higher-quality medical services in China.’”“Leveraging its service network across the Asia-Pacific region and high-quality medical services, Fullerton Healthcare will serve as a strong backbone for WeDoctor’s users, jointly providing integrated online-to-offline (O2O) one-stop healthcare solutions. This partnership will advance our previously announced plan to open 100 clinics over the coming years, accelerating the expansion of our business footprint in China. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, with both parties committing to collaborate fully in building a globally leading O2O healthcare service platform.”
Chen Jinsong, Co-founder and CEO of Fulljoy Medical Group, stated, “Fulljoy Medical has been committed to leveraging data technology to enhance its services, and this collaboration with WeDoctor aligns closely with the Group’s vision.”“Leveraging technology and big data analytics to enhance patient services and operational efficiency has always been the core essence of Fullerton Healthcare. This approach enables us to provide corporate clients with cost-effective, convenient, and sustainable services, thereby accelerating our expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. WeDoctor is our ideal partner; its innovative digital healthcare solutions and deep understanding of the Chinese market will help us expand our business in China.
