At the Apple event held on September 13, Apple announced that the Apple Watch would feature an FDA-cleared electrocardiogram (ECG) function, enabling patients to perform real-time monitoring and share the results directly with healthcare professionals.

Notably, China’s smart wearable sector also warrants attention. The Kang Watch, a smart blood pressure monitor from Kangkang Blood Pressure, has obtained certification from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). While the Apple Watch provides users with medical-grade ECG monitoring capabilities via a wrist-worn device, the Kang Watch addresses the need for medical-grade blood pressure monitoring in a similar form factor.

2018 can be regarded as the inaugural year for consumer-grade medical monitoring devices, with the Apple Watch and Kang Watch jointly leading medical-grade wearable devices into a new era.

More Than Just a Watch: Kang Watch Is Powered by Kangkang Blood Pressure’s Robust Big Data “Soft Power”

Both in appearance and functionality, the Kang Watch is far more than just a timepiece; its underlying “soft power” of “big data + blood pressure management” also deserves attention.

By leveraging Kang Watch, users can receive personalized diagnosis and treatment services for hypertension based on big blood pressure data. Kang Kang Blood Pressure boasts the industry’s most powerful capability in processing hypertension-related big data. As early as 2016, it partnered with the Chinese Hypertension League to establish the “National Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring and Big Data Processing Center,” and has since built the world’s largest ambulatory blood pressure sample database. This enables Kang Watch to incorporate Kang Kang Blood Pressure’s diagnostic models driven by big blood pressure data, delivering personalized and precise hypertension diagnosis and treatment plans for users.

Secondly, Kangkang Blood Pressure has developed the “AI-Based Cardiovascular Risk Assessment System” to predict disease incidence risk. Built upon the “Cardiovascular Risk Prediction Model” introduced by leading experts in the field, this system leverages artificial intelligence to efficiently calculate users’ cardiovascular disease risk scores, thereby shifting the focus of prevention to an earlier stage and encouraging users to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Furthermore, Kangkang Blood Pressure has partnered with a team of experts from top cardiovascular hospitals in China to provide remote interpretation services for ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) reports, enabling every user to access expert remote interpretation services from Beijing’s Tier 3 Grade A hospitals without leaving home.
