Recently, the highly anticipated 2018 “METIS Awards” for intelligent terminals were officially announced at the ICT China 2018 Mobile Intelligent Terminal Summit and Smart Hardware Ecosystem Conference. Making its debut, Miao Jiankang (Beijing Miaoyijia Information Technology Co., Ltd.) won the “Annual Intelligent Medical Health Device Award” with its all-in-one health monitoring device. Taking this as an opportunity, China’s first “Health Management Information Interaction Platform” will also fill in the key application scenario of offline data collection.

When mentioning “Metis,” many people will likely first think of the primordial goddess of wisdom in Greek mythology. In today’s information society, however, the “Metis Award” represents the most advanced technologies and the most accessible applications, serving as a testament to high-level ingenuity within the industry. This selection process attracted 113 products from 65 companies. After review by a panel of authoritative experts from various fields of intelligent terminals and smart hardware, 22 sub-awards across eight major categories were ultimately conferred.

According to reports, the Miao Health all-in-one health monitoring device leverages cutting-edge IoT sensor technology to scientifically detect and analyze dozens of health metrics, including ECG, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, and body composition. It provides a comprehensive assessment of physiological functions, stress levels, and biological age, offering corresponding health recommendations. The device also issues early warnings for individuals in a sub-health state, helping to reduce disease risk and prevent illness through subsequent health management interventions by Miao Health.

“Rapid, comprehensive, precise, and non-invasive novel health data detection devices enable quick testing, QR code-based access to monitoring reports and assessments, and interpretive recommendations, helping various industries leverage health data to provide users with more precise healthcare-related services,” said Gu Shufeng, Vice President of Miao Health. He added that the successful development of Miao Health’s all-in-one health monitoring kiosk will also fill a critical application scenario for offline data collection within its “Health Management Information Interaction Platform.”

China’s first “Health Management Information Interaction Platform” was jointly developed by the National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Technology and Standards Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and Beijing More Health Information Technology Co., Ltd. Officially launched on April 27 this year, the platform will effectively address numerous developmental challenges in the collection and utilization of data from intelligent health terminals. It has already achieved aggregation of health data from diverse smart hardware devices, enabling the provision of comprehensive electronic health records focused on physical activity and wellness for residents. Furthermore, the closed-loop user health information system established by the platform provides actionable health data support for medical data integration and chronic disease management.

“Compared to smart wearable devices with relatively single functions, such as smart bands, blood pressure monitors, glucometers, and body fat scales, the all-in-one health monitoring device, as the first monitoring equipment with comprehensive data access to the health management information interaction platform, has many advantages such as more comprehensive, accurate, and fast data collection,” said Gu Shufeng. He added that in the future, with the nationwide application of Miao Health’s all-in-one health monitoring device, the completeness and reliability of user data on the health management information interaction platform will be further improved, providing users with superior health management services.
