Smart Healthcare Physician Service Alliance Officially Launched in Beijing

From October 12 to 14, 2018, the China International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Forum and the First Chinese Organ Transplantation Forum were held at the Sunrise Kempinski Hotel in Yanqi Lake, Beijing. On the morning of October 14, the sub-forum on Smart Healthcare and Integration of Medicine and Engineering officially commenced. Distinguished guests invited to attend included Academician Dong Jiahong, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dean of the Clinical Medical College of Tsinghua University, and Executive Director of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital; Mr. Lü Kejian, General Manager of China Merchants Venture Capital under China Merchants Group; Mr. Liu Zhaonian, Vice Chairman of Jointown Pharmaceutical Group and Vice President of the China Pharmaceutical Commerce Association; Mr. Fu Gang, Chairman of Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group and Deputy Director of the Smart Healthcare Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Ms. Ding Yan, Chairwoman of Yixie Chuangzhi and Standing Committee Member of the Smart Healthcare Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Mr. Feng Zhenyu, Deputy Director of the Medical Behavior Index Research and Evaluation Center and CEO of Yixie Chuangzhi; and Mr. Yu Dongsheng, Shareholder and Co-founder of Kuangtu Medical Technology. Academician Dong Jiahong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered the opening address.

With the rapid advancement of modern science and technology, cutting-edge information technologies—represented by big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT)—are being widely applied across various sectors of production and daily life. The Smart Healthcare Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association has advocated for and established the Smart Healthcare Physician Service Alliance, providing diversified pathways and solutions for the integrated and innovative development of medicine and technology. This ceremony aims to attract more smart healthcare resources to join the Smart Healthcare Physician Service Alliance, foster collaborative efforts to deepen cooperation, and accelerate the implementation of smart healthcare physician service projects. These initiatives hold significant importance for promoting the sustainable development of medical science and the health industry, as well as for advancing the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.

At the ceremony, Academician Dong Jiahong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ms. Ding Yan, Chairwoman of Yixie Chuangzhi, Mr. Lv Kejian, General Manager of China Merchants Venture Capital under China Merchants Group, Mr. Liu Zhaonian, Vice Chairman of Jointown Pharmaceutical Group, Mr. Fu Gang, Chairman of Baiyang Pharmaceutical Group, and Mr. Yu Dongsheng, Co-founder of Kuangtu Medical Technology, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Smart Healthcare Physician Service Alliance, announcing its official establishment.

In his address, Academician Dong Jiahong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering pointed out, “Today, we jointly witness a significant moment—the establishment of the Smart Healthcare Physician Services Alliance. Smart healthcare represents a new trend and direction in the development of modern medicine and the health industry. By leveraging smart healthcare pathways and models, it empowers physician services with professional medical expertise, significantly enhancing service efficiency and facilitating precision medicine. Furthermore, for primary care physicians, it enables the transfer of specialists’ experience and technical capabilities to the grassroots level, ensuring that advanced medical technologies and services benefit the broader population at the community level. We look forward to working together with all experts under the Smart Healthcare Physician Services Alliance to build a new health industry base and a novel health service system, thereby contributing to the Healthy China initiative.”

Chairman Ding Yan, speaking on behalf of the alliance member unit Yixie Chuangzhi, stated: “We look forward to the Smart Healthcare Physician Services Alliance joining hands with various smart healthcare resources to contribute to the improvement of medical services.”

At this conference, Chairperson Ding Yan delivered a keynote address titled “Expert Knowledge + Smart Healthcare = Empowering Primary Care Physicians.” She shared insights on achieving panoramic service connectivity by establishing a multi-dimensional data cube within smart healthcare applications. She outlined the pathway for empowering primary care physicians through expert knowledge and proposed an “Expert Empowerment Pyramid Model,” which can effectively address the contradiction between the people’s growing demand for medical services and the unbalanced and inadequate development of physician resources.
