SYNYI AI

Provider of Comprehensive Solutions for Medical Big Data

VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that SYNYI·AI announced the completion of its Series B+ financing round, led by Xianghe Capital. Following this round, SYNYI·AI’s cumulative fundraising has exceeded RMB 300 million.

Xianghe Capital is a venture capital fund co-founded by Tang Hesong, former Vice President of Strategic Investment and M&A at Baidu, and Executive Director Yang Liu (Maggie), focusing on early-stage and growth-stage opportunities in the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sectors. Mr. Tang previously led and oversaw Baidu’s strategic investment and M&A activities, orchestrating a series of high-impact deals in China’s internet industry, including investments in iQIYI, Qunar, PPS, and 91 Wireless. Maggie assisted Mr. Tang in completing these major investment and M&A transactions and independently led investments in companies such as Kuaishou, Uxin, and Lianjia.

The Xianghe team possesses strong strategic analysis capabilities and extensive investment experience. In the mere two years since its establishment, Xianghe Capital has invested in a portfolio of outstanding star projects, including iQIYI, VIPKID, Zuoyebang, Yunmanman, Huolala, Kuaikan Manhua, Sensors Data, and Infervision.

Regarding the rationale behind investing in SYNYI·AI, Tang Hesong, Co-Founding Partner of Xianghe Capital, stated: “We are highly optimistic about SYNYI·AI’s growth prospects. Healthcare represents a trillion-yuan market in China. By leveraging AI technologies such as natural language processing for data analysis and processing, SYNYI·AI creates value both by reducing labor costs and by assisting in the enhancement of diagnostic and treatment standards. The company’s ultimate goal is to improve healthcare quality and efficiency, which holds significant importance and potential. Furthermore, SYNYI·AI helps doctors and hospitals enhance efficiency in scientific research and management, effectively addressing critical pain points within the industry. Meanwhile, the accumulation and refinement of data and models will establish barriers to entry for its business model. Additionally, from an application perspective, medical AI in China is still in a relatively early stage, offering substantial opportunities and potential. As a leader in this sector, SYNYI·AI possesses competitive advantages in business insights, data accumulation, and product refinement. Moreover, with extensive data accumulation, continuous product iteration, and sustained brand strengthening, SYNYI·AI will maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.”

Beyond SYNYI·AI’s business model and the immense market potential of medical AI, Tang Hesong stated: “The team is the core factor in our investment decision. SYNYI·AI boasts an exceptional team, with a leadership tier that has clear strategic objectives and strong overall technical capabilities. In this vast market, they are engaged in value-creating work, and their commercial practices are at the forefront of the industry. CEO Zhang Shaodian is undoubtedly among the most outstanding entrepreneurs I have ever encountered. As an expert in medical informatics, he possesses deep technical expertise, robust research capabilities, and clear strategic thinking. He is thoughtful, a quick learner, decisive in making decisions, and resolute in execution—precisely the type of entrepreneur that Xianghe Capital favors.”
