Rael was founded in 2017 by three female co-founders: Aness An, a journalist and bestselling author; Binna Won, ATA ( architect-turned-art director; Yanghee Paik, a Harvard MBA who served as a film distributor at Walt Disney Studios. Frustrated by the lack of healthy, comfortable, and high-performance menstrual care products on the market, the three women began developing their own solutions.

Today, Rael’s product line includes organic cotton pads, liners, and biodegradable cardboard, non-applicator tampons, with its organic cotton pads and liners ranking as the best-selling products in their respective categories on Amazon.
The company also launched a series of “menstrual beauty” products, including various facial masks and acne-healing patches designed to help alleviate skin issues during menstruation.
