According to VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat), the 2018 “Cloud Intelligence, IBM Cloud Computing Forum” and the “IBM Cloud Computing Partner Summit” were successfully held in Nanjing on November 15. During the event, Medlinker launched its “New-Generation Internet Medical Service Cloud Platform,” which integrates the IBM Cloud Private architecture. By leveraging microservices innovation, the platform aims to accelerate the development of “Internet + Smart Healthcare” and reshape new models of ecosystem services.
Zhang Yongjian, General Manager of Cloud Business, IBM Greater China; Zeng Jianbiao, General Manager of Software and Distribution Business, Global Partner Division, IBM Greater China; He Shirong, General Manager of Industry Solutions and Business Expansion, IBM Greater China; Zhang Qiwei, CTO of WinHealth International; and Wang Zhao, Vice President of Strategy at WinHealth International, attended the launch ceremony. Industry leaders and experts gathered to jointly explore a smart future.
The “Xinyi New-Generation Internet Medical Services Cloud Platform,” built on the IBM Cloud Private cloud platform, will integrate systems, data, and services across hospitals, between hospitals, and within the internet-based healthcare ecosystem. By combining telemedicine with internet hospital applications, the platform facilitates efficient integration of business-related data among medical institutions at all levels within medical consortia, enabling seamless alignment with tiered diagnosis and treatment pathways to meet the demands of integrating traditional operations with internet-enabled services. Furthermore, by combining offline and online services throughout the entire patient care journey, it empowers a new platform for specialized, refined, and continuous smart healthcare.
This collaboration aims to build a one-stop, open cloud platform for internet-based medical services, empowering the construction of a healthcare service ecosystem through technology and jointly driving the new transformation of smart healthcare. Zhang Qiwei, CTO of Winning Health, delivered a speech titled “Cloud Architecture for the New Generation of Internet Medical Services” at the event. He pointed out, “Compared with the telecommunications and banking sectors, healthcare informatization involves greater complexity in terms of business processes, data, services, and applications. As hospital operations evolve from standalone systems to an internet-based healthcare ecosystem, the number of involved business processes will increase from 2–3 to over 10,000, and the variety of application software will grow from a single type to more than 1,000. Therefore, traditional healthcare informatization experience and practices from other industries are insufficient to address the complexity of healthcare information and applications. Our joint exploration with IBM, based on an open collaboration model centered on a healthcare information platform, provides a viable path to tackling the complexities of healthcare informatization.”
In this regard, Zhang Yongjian, General Manager of IBM Cloud Computing, also stated, “IBM has always been committed to working with partners to facilitate the transformation of healthcare in China, enabling hospitals to integrate more fully into a more flexible and valuable ecosystem service system, thereby enhancing the social value for users and organizations within the health industry. The collaboration between IBM and Mindray International aims to build a health coordination ecosystem for hospitals, leveraging ‘Internet + Healthcare’ to deliver services such as precision medicine and disease management. By harnessing cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence technologies, we will establish a systematic intelligent support platform. We believe that both parties will jointly promote the implementation of viable models that empower healthcare.”
Wang Zhao, Strategic Vice President of Winning Health, stated, “As a provider of innovative internet-based healthcare services, Winning Health has built China’s largest internet telemedicine platform anchored in physical hospitals. Medical consortium services have entered the 3.0 era, where the integration of resources, operations, and medical specialties effectively empowers healthcare delivery. Meanwhile, internet healthcare is characterized by openness and convergence. Patients require services that cover the entire course of their disease. Our collaboration with IBM deepens industry innovation and development across multiple dimensions, including technology, products, and solutions. Leveraging our respective core strengths, we aim to provide an open and integrated platform for all stakeholders to jointly address the challenge of full-lifecycle patient management.”
In the current era where internet technology is fully integrated into the healthcare and broader health sectors, SinoCare International will continue to collaborate with IBM to empower medical institutions in achieving business integration and development through innovative services, jointly building a smart healthcare ecosystem.
