2018Year11Month16-18Recently, the 3rd International Academic Conference on Translational Oncology was held in Tianjin. Life Singularity (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., as the first developer of a commercially available precision medicine big data platform in China and a strategic partner of the Precision Medicine Big Data Platform at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, attended the conference. The 3rd International Academic Conference on Translational Oncology, hosted by Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, is an academic conference focused on the latest research and experiences in international translational oncology.

2018In the year, coinciding with Tianjin Medical University and the United StatesH.LEEOn the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a sister hospital relationship with Moffitt Cancer Center, invited experts include those from the United StatesMDExperts from MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and many other peer institutions, along with numerous medical specialists in China, jointly discussed strategic plans for advancing cancer prevention and treatment.

As a key construction project for precision oncology treatment, the Medical Big Data Platform’s partner, Life Singularity (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., was founded byCEOLiu Liyu, along with Professor Shi Yu and Professor Zhang Zemin, Chief Advisors at Life Singularity, were invited to attend the conference and deliver speeches.

Zhang Zemin, Chief Advisor at Life Singularity, an internationally renowned biotechnology expert in oncology, a Changjiang Scholar, and Tenured Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Peking University, presented the latest academic study published in Nature, titled “Dynamic Features of the Tumor Microenvironment from a Single-Cell Perspective.” This work provides a scientific basis for tumor prevention and treatment from a single-cell perspective, taking into comprehensive consideration various patient characteristics.

Founder of Life Singularity andCEOMr. Liu Liyu delivered a presentation titled “Big Data Platform for Precision Medicine and Cross-Omics Clinical Research,” sharing interim achievements of the oncology precision medicine big data platform developed in collaboration with Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital.

Since signing a cooperation agreement with Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital in 2016, Life Singularity (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. has integrated longitudinal clinical data spanning multiple years for over 2.3 million cancer patients, along with information on nearly 100,000 tumor biological specimens and whole-exome sequencing data from close to 1,000 cases, thereby conducting multiple high-level clinical studies.

Based on in-depth mining of clinical data, the research teams from Life Singularity and Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital have established a new model for assessing the benefits of surgical resection in liver cancer, making significant supplements to existing clinical guidelines.

By analyzing next-generation sequencing results of renal, lung, and liver cancer tumors from nearly 1,000 patients, Life Singularity has also identified multiple novel driver gene mutation signatures closely associated with tumor metastasis or recurrence.

It is reported that Life Singularity has partnered with dozens of top-tier hospitals and nearly 200 Grade III hospitals in China. By leveraging its proprietary natural language processing (NLP) artificial intelligence technology, the company has accumulated and processed tens of millions to billions of clinical records and hundreds of billions of data points. This technology can be integrated with biological omics data, such as genomics, thereby effectively implementing AI solutions in the field of big data for precision medicine. Several high-impact collaborative papers are scheduled for publication within this year, truly transforming dormant medical data into valuable clinical research insights.
