Shoucheng Zhang: Professor at Stanford University / Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences / Founder of Danhua Capital. J.G. Jackson and C.J. Wood Professor of Physics at Stanford University; Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences; Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined the Department of Physics at Stanford University in 1993. His primary research field is condensed matter physics, with a focus on topological insulators. He has achieved numerous world-class, original innovations in areas such as high-temperature superconductivity, the quantum Hall effect, spintronics, and strongly correlated electron systems. In 2013, he founded Danhua Capital, which focuses on investing in innovative companies originating from Stanford University and Silicon Valley.

Tim Draper: Founding Partner of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), a venture capital firm that manages $2 billion in assets and has invested in more than 200 startup companies. Tim Draper earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bill Gross: Founder of Idealab. Bill Gross established Idealab in March 1996. With extensive experience in entrepreneurship, Bill founded his first company in the solar energy sector during high school. After graduating from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Gross founded GNP Development Inc., where he developed HAL, a natural language product for Lotus 1-2-3. In 1985, GNP was acquired by Lotus Development Corporation. In 1991, Mr. Gross founded Knowledge Adventure, which was later successfully acquired by Havas/Vivendi. Bill currently serves on the boards of directors of multiple companies. He is also a board member at the California Institute of Technology and the ArtCenter College of Design (ACCD), one of the world’s leading design institutions.

Registration Process


1. Upon receipt of the registration information submitted by guests, our staff will promptly contact you to confirm matters related to your registration.

2. Confirm registration and sign the contract.

3. Guests shall pay 70% of the total trip cost to reserve their spots in the study tour.

4. Upon confirmation of payment, Silicon Valley Hi-Tech Innovation Association will issue official invitation letters to guests to assist with visa applications.

5. The guest pays the remaining balance after the visa is approved;

Note: If the visa application is denied, Silicon Valley Gaochuang will deduct a fee of $500 per invitation letter and then refund the remaining portion of the trip expenses that is eligible for reimbursement.
