Recently, the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Huaiyuan County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, under the leadership of Director Liu Kai, successfully applied ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse in collaboration with the catheterization laboratory medical team.®Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter Successfully Performs Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) for an Atrial Fibrillation Patient. The successful implementation validates the comprehensive advantages of PFA technology in terms of tissue selectivity, efficiency, and safety, offering a safer and more efficient new treatment option for patients with atrial fibrillation.

Surgical Procedure
The patient is a 72-year-old male with a clinical diagnosis of persistent atrial fibrillation. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia. After routine vascular puncture, the transseptal sheath was advanced via the inferior vena cava to the right atrium, and the atrial septum was successfully punctured to establish access to the left atrium. ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse was used.® A 20mm catheter was used for left atrial modeling and substrate mapping with the support of a three-dimensional system.

Bilateral Pulmonary Vein Isolation Procedure
After the modeling is completed, RhythPulse®The PFA catheter was delivered to the left upper pulmonary vein, and the voltage map indicated good substrate in the left atrium. Bilateral pulmonary vein isolation was then performed, starting from the left upper pulmonary vein. A total of 14 applications were delivered to the right pulmonary veins, and 18 applications to the left pulmonary veins. Pacing verification was conducted after pulse delivery, confirming bidirectional block of the pulmonary vein potentials. Post-procedure voltage maps showed successful isolation of both pulmonary veins. The overall ablation process took approximately 30 minutes.
