In recent years, with the pressures of fast-paced urban life and an aging population, various sub-health issues such as lumbar spondylosis, cervical spondylosis, insomnia, and hypertension have been plaguing people, and the total number of individuals in a sub-health state has been increasing year by year. According to a 2016 World Health Organization report: In China, 9.5 out of every 13 people are in a sub-health state.
Regarding the management of sub-health conditions, hospitals lack comprehensive solutions tailored to this issue. While traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) tuina massage can effectively alleviate such sub-health problems, the fast-paced nature of modern life makes it difficult for individuals to commit to fixed schedules for in-store professional physiotherapy services. Furthermore, the variability in techniques and service standards compromises the consistency of care quality. This challenge has been addressed with the emergence of Yisheng Daojia.
In December 2014, Yisheng Daojia officially launched its in-home Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physiotherapy services, focusing on providing light medical solutions based on TCM physiotherapy for common diseases, chronic conditions, and specific ailments affecting children, adults, and the elderly. Meanwhile, through standardized services delivered by professional TCM conditioning specialists, it meets the diverse health needs of individuals across all age groups within households.
Yisheng Daojia’s in-home traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physiotherapy service has been widely acclaimed since its launch. In February 2015, it swiftly secured over RMB 10 million in angel-round financing from Hongtai Fund. The following March, it raised more than RMB 50 million in Series A financing, led by Century Changhe Group, the parent company of Meinian Onehealth. The brand has even attracted endorsement and public support from numerous celebrities and public figures, including Yu Minhong, Robin Li, Wang Kai, Hu Haiquan, Wu Dajing, and Liu Jianhong.
Yet transformation has never ceased. Under Sun Jinzheng’s strategic planning, Yisheng Health began advancing toward the goals of group-based and industrialized development, giving rise to an OMO health service platform that employs appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques (TCM physiotherapy) as intervention methods.
From Brick-and-Mortar Physical Therapy Chains to Internet-Enabled Holistic Health: Leveraging the Internet to Break Through Industry Scale Constraints
Prior to founding Yisheng Daojia, Sun Jinzheng had been dedicated to the investment and management of brick-and-mortar chain stores. Throughout his years of operational management, he continually pondered a critical question: How can the inherent flaws of physical chain stores—being “connected but not unified” and “expanding without scaling up”—be resolved? “Traditional brick-and-mortar chains lack comprehensive product lines and standardized, systematic service processes. Moreover, their services are predominantly localized and regional, which limits their growth potential and results in indistinct competitive advantages,” Sun Jinzheng remarked, drawing from his profound personal experience.
To address this issue, Sun Jinzheng embarked on a series of explorations, striving to leverage internet-based models to break the constraints of traditional industries and uncover new business opportunities. After three years of development, Yisheng Daojia has gathered a group of industry leaders, forming two professional teams: one comprising more than 20 authoritative experts from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, who are responsible for the standardized management of health product R&D, tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage) services, and training processes; and the other being a robust technical and operational team composed of internet professionals from Alibaba, Hainan Airlines, and Sohu.
“Traditional brick-and-mortar stores require more than ten back-office staff per location. Yisheng Daojia, with only ten employees, manages over 600 massage therapists across three cities in China, achieving standardized service processes and long-term quality monitoring,” said Sun Jinzheng proudly.
It has been reported that, leveraging the internet, Yisheng Daojia has established a systematic health service network with over 60 standardized service protocols. All orders are automatically fulfilled and dispatched online, enabling real-time monitoring of service quality and significantly enhancing management efficiency. The platform now processes more than 2,000 orders daily, generating annual revenue in the hundreds of millions of yuan.

From Industry to Industrial Ecosystem: A New Business Revolution
It is often said that entrepreneurship is a “point of no return,” and this holds especially true for Sun Jinzheng, who brings 15 years of entrepreneurial experience to the table. Following a series of new explorations and initiatives, Yisheng Health has launched entirely new business modules building upon its existing “Yisheng At-Home” services: it established the Enterprise Business Unit and the Community Business Unit in 2016 and 2017, respectively. The Enterprise Business Unit uses enterprises as an entry point to establish corporate channels and integrate corporate health service and management needs. Meanwhile, the Community Business Unit integrates offline store services and community hospital channels, thereby achieving multi-scenario connectivity for both enterprise and individual users across enterprises, retail stores, community hospitals, and at-home services.
Currently, Yisheng Health has established partnerships with over 2,000 enterprises, including Meituan, JD.com, New Oriental, and China Minsheng Bank. Meanwhile, it boasts more than 500 offline partner stores and community hospitals, along with a resource pool of over 130 professional physicians and 600 skilled therapists.

When asked about the reasons for industrial upgrading, Sun Jinzheng stated: “Services such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tuina, pediatric tuina, postpartum care, and rehabilitation therapy can address a range of common conditions, including orthopedic disorders like cervical spondylosis, lumbar spine disease, and frozen shoulder, as well as gastrointestinal diseases. They also meet the health needs of patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, along with specific patient populations, demonstrating high customer stickiness and broad applicability.”
Integrating multiple service scenarios effectively addresses two core challenges: user acquisition and user engagement time. By leveraging Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physiotherapy as an entry-level health service, users can maintain close contact with therapists, provide timely feedback on their physical condition, and receive more comprehensive solutions. This serves as the key strategic entry point for Yisheng Health, paving the way for a broader range of future health services.

Building a Data Platform with High-Engagement Services, Empowering Diverse Health Services to Create the Yisheng Future Ecosystem
In the future, Yisheng Daojia, corporate health, and community health services can continuously provide Beijing Yisheng Health Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yisheng Health”) with multi-scenario, multi-user, and multi-dimensional health data. By accumulating extensive health data and achieving continuous, stable data collection as well as analysis and comparison of pathological data, Yisheng Health can leverage data support to deliver more personalized and precise services. Furthermore, through collaborations with smart hardware manufacturers, pharmaceutical service providers, and testing institutions, patients can purchase or rent smart devices for real-time monitoring and instant testing, thereby feeding back their health data. This approach enables the provision of comprehensive health management solutions, fosters long-term user engagement with the platform, and ultimately establishes a complete health ecosystem.
Yisheng Health has entered the healthcare sector by offering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physiotherapy services, accumulating health data such as user constitutions and medical conditions to build a comprehensive health ecosystem. “We can serve as a connector for health services, collaborating with smart hardware manufacturers, medical service providers, and insurance companies to deliver more personalized and diversified holistic health solutions,” said Sun Jinzheng in an interview.
