As the most professional and influential management group in the field of women's and children's healthcare, Chuntian Medical Management is once again planning major initiatives.
As the year draws to a close, Springfield Healthcare Management will release the full version of the “2018 White Paper on Maternal and Child Healthcare Institutions in China,” seizing this opportunity to invite elites from across the upstream and downstream sectors of the industry to re-examine the operations of non-public maternal and child healthcare institutions under the current new economic landscape.
Several months ago, Spring Field Medical Management sequentially released the sections on market demand, institutional overview, and investment from the *2018 White Paper on Maternal and Child Healthcare Institutions in China*. Through thematic seminars, it explored the choices and preferences of investment institutions amid the “capital winter.” These seminars attracted many of China’s top investment elites in the maternal and child health sector, fostering intense discussions and debates that provided profound insights and inspiration. This has further encouraged us to continue convening industry leaders through such seminars to delve deeply into current bottlenecks and solutions within the sector, pooling collective efforts to drive the development of the non-public maternal and child healthcare industry and benefit a broader population.
At the previous white paper seminar, investors generally agreed that during the current capital winter, leading healthcare institutions are able to survive, and mergers and acquisitions have become the choice for more medical institutions. The recent acquisition of Ying Technology and its Beijing Shui’an Youlin Clinic by Penguin Almond further validates this trend.
According to the China Health and Family Planning Statistical Yearbook, the number of private hospitals surpassed that of public hospitals for the first time in 2015. By the end of 2017, there were 715 non-public obstetrics and gynecology hospitals, ranking first among the 5,462 private specialized hospitals and far exceeding other types of specialized hospitals, making competition in this field increasingly intense. Public hospitals have continuously improved and advanced their medical services (such as special-needs outpatient clinics and disease-specific outpatient clinics), further squeezing the survival space of non-public women’s and children’s hospitals. In addition, China’s current economic environment is in a period of adjustment with various uncertainties. It is urgent to consider how non-public women’s and children’s medical institutions can seek development and growth under the competitive landscape of this new economic form.
Although the broader environment remains less than ideal, new opportunities often emerge amid the most pessimistic market conditions. Springfield Healthcare Management hopes this seminar will provide a platform for industry peers to convene, share operational challenges, explore new directions and opportunities, pool their strengths, and jointly chart a path forward.
