Recently, NORMA (诺防, http://chn.norma.co.kr), a South Korean company specializing in wireless network and IoT solutions as well as blockchain security, has officially entered the Chinese market. The company is generating significant anticipation through its active initiatives in product development, investment promotion, and inter-enterprise collaboration.

NORMA (Nuofang) Wins Championship at “K-demoday China@Alibaba” Competition

Last year, NORMA won championships in multiple global entrepreneurship competitions held in China, gaining full recognition from various sectors for its corporate value and core technologies, thereby laying a solid foundation for its entry into the Chinese market. In 2017, NORMA claimed the title at the “K-Demoday China@Alibaba” competition. “K-Demoday” is an entrepreneurship contest organized by Alibaba, the South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Korea Innovation Center in China, targeting South Korean startups seeking to expand into the Chinese market.

Collaborated with well-known Chinese security firms such as BUGX to strengthen technology development

NORMA has signed MOUs with multiple related enterprises to fully launch technical cooperation and promote the localization and upgrading of its products. It has already provided the AtEar security solution to a well-known Chinese security company. Based on vulnerability analysis and global standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, AtEar offers customized wireless security guidelines to protect corporate wireless networks. As a mobile wireless security solution, AtEar addresses the limitations of fixed solutions in detecting security conditions in shadow areas, and is rapidly capturing market share.

NORMA has extended its wireless networking technology into the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain security. Its recently launched security module for Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges has attracted significant attention. The NORMA Digital Currency Security Module is a more robust solution developed based on proprietary technologies and in collaboration with numerous major domestic and international enterprises and institutions. Its key features include network security scanning, device security scanning (to prevent jailbreaking), and secure remittance services enabled by built-in security detection powered by a threat-list database.

NORMA (Nuofang), in collaboration with the Chinese cybersecurity firm BUGX, has conducted joint research on blockchain smart contracts and identified several vulnerabilities in ERC-20 tokens and in RKT, a token issued by the GBX exchange. These vulnerabilities can lead to anomalies such as irregular digital currency transfer amounts, significant inflation of account balances, and disappearance of digital assets.

Establish a Beijing R&D Center to Fully Achieve Product Localization in China

NORMA (Nuofang) is establishing a subsidiary in Shanghai to provide Chinese customers with high-quality product maintenance services, following the establishment of its Hong Kong company; registration is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Additionally, NORMA has set up an R&D center within Beijing’s Tsinghua Tongfang, dedicated to comprehensively advancing the localization and next-generation upgrading of its products, including initiatives to enhance the quality of IoT security solutions.

NORMA (Nuofang) is committed to achieving synergies in technology development through multi-party collaborations with domestic security enterprises, manufacturers, and research institutions. Furthermore, leveraging the Tsinghua Tongfang platform, it plans to build a high-quality R&D team primarily composed of high-tech talent from Tsinghua University, further expand business cooperation with other resident enterprises, initiate a new round of financing, and onboard domestic investors, with the aim of expanding its business scope in China.

“NORMA’s core security technologies have been recognized by multiple enterprises in the South Korean market, and through winning several awards in Chinese startup competitions, we have successfully completed our previous round of financing and achieved initial expansion into the Chinese market,” said Zheng Xianzhe, CEO of NORMA (Nuofang). He added, “We hold patented technologies and possess years of experience in wireless network, IoT, and blockchain security, and we aim to provide high-quality security services to Chinese customers.”

Under the philosophy of “enabling everyone to use secure networks,” NORMA has been dedicated to the research and development of Wi-Fi security and IoT security solutions. Its main products include the wireless network inspection solution “AtEar,” the Wi-Fi security module “Wi-FiCare,” and the IoT protection software “IoTCare.” NORMA’s current client base and partners include major corporations and government agencies such as Samsung Group, LG Group, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, the Korean National Police Agency, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. Furthermore, NORMA has extended its wireless network security technologies to various IoT domains, including cameras, smart homes, connected vehicles, and healthcare. Recently, leveraging its prior technical expertise, NORMA has committed to developing security solutions for cryptocurrency trading, officially expanding its business scope into blockchain security.
