Enzyme Health Secures $1.7M Seed Funding to Transform How Clinicians Work Through AI-Driven Telehealth Staffing Platform

Recently, VCBeat (WeChat official account: vcbeat) learned from foreign media reports that Enzyme Health, a telehealth human resources company headquartered in Austin, Texas, has raised $1.7 million in seed funding. The new capital came from Silverton Partners and private investors.

Founded in 2018, the company leverages machine learning algorithms to match physicians and nurse practitioners with positions that align with their skills and schedules. Clinicians using this service can choose between part-time and full-time employment.

“Traditional healthcare demands require clinicians to spend 50 to 80 hours per week in hospitals, meaning they have to sacrifice their personal time and are unable to pursue activities they enjoy. Michelle Davey, Co-founder and CEO of Enzyme Health, stated in a press release, ‘We aim to become a cornerstone of the digital healthcare industry. In the future, whether through AI-powered video consultations or the use of smart wearable devices, all will be based on telemedicine technologies. This technology will transform the way clinicians work, offering them the opportunity to achieve a better work-life balance.’”

The startup has recruited some of the leading telehealth companies in the United States, such as Doctor on Demand, MDLive, Hims, Hazel, and Parsley Health.

Enzyme Health has not specified the exact use of the new funds, but according to their statement, the funds will be used to hire experts to establish a project team focused on digital health.

As telemedicine technology becomes a hot topic, entrepreneurs have begun to integrate resources to prepare for new business opportunities. Nomad Health operates in a similar space to Enzyme Health; as the first online platform to address job opportunities for physicians and nurses, the company expanded its online service offerings in 2017 to include telemedicine training programs.
