Statistical Information Centers of the Health Commissions of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government; all relevant medical and health institutions:
  

In order to implement the requirements set forth in the State Council’s “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Healthcare’,” the “New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan,” and the Ministry of Science and Technology’s “13th Five-Year Special Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation in Health,” and to promptly grasp the promotion and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in healthcare across China, leverage the leading and demonstrative role of typical cases, and facilitate the practical deployment of next-generation AI technologies, we are now soliciting a batch of case studies on the practical application of AI technologies from medical and health institutions at all levels and of various types. Selected cases will be widely disseminated to all sectors of society after review and approval. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:


I. Submission Categories


(I) Intelligent Case Studies in Disease Prediction and Intervention. Including but not limited to personal health risk prediction, forecasting and early warning of disease epidemics and public health emergencies, medical rescue, medical support for major events; integration of medical care and elderly care, chronic disease management, nutritional dietary planning services; population genomics and functional omics analysis, etc.


(II) Intelligent Disease Consultation Cases. This includes intelligent applications for disease and health knowledge, such as health management consultations, virtual assistants, and intelligent general practitioners.


(3) Cases of Intelligent Disease Diagnosis and Treatment. Including but not limited to knowledge bases, databases, control systems, and intelligent diagnostic systems related to clinical diagnosis and treatment; as well as intelligent and specialized service systems such as clinical medical robots, nursing robots, surgical robots, and rehabilitation robots related to disease treatment and recovery.


(4) Cases of Intelligent Drug R&D. Including but not limited to the new drug discovery phase and clinical trials; target screening, drug discovery, drug optimization, medication adherence management, drug crystal form prediction, etc.

(V) Cases of Intelligent Health Administration. This includes, but is not limited to, intelligent medical and health regulatory systems for public health management, hospital administration, tiered diagnosis and treatment, doctor-patient communication, and humanistic care.

(6) AI application implementation cases with outstanding effectiveness, significant innovation and practicality, and high demonstration and promotion value. These include, but are not limited to, intelligent solutions addressing needs in disease prevention, clinical assistance, drug research and development, and collaborative management.

II. Submission Procedure

(1) The declaring entity shall log in after January 1, 2019

Download the template from “http://61.49.19.123/dc/” to complete the application materials for AI implementation case studies, and conduct rigorous review of the submitted materials. The application system will open on January 14. Application materials must be factual, highlight key points, and demonstrate strong practicality and operability.

(II) Each applicant may submit no more than five cases. The application deadline is March 20, 2019.

III. Selection Method

The Statistical Information Center will conduct a formal review of the submitted materials and commission a panel of renowned experts in regional health informatics, hospital informatics, and medical artificial intelligence to evaluate the cases. Our Center will compile the outstanding cases into a compendium, which will be made publicly available after verification for reference by all relevant parties.

IV. Other Requirements

(1) Submitted cases must fully demonstrate the characteristics and role of artificial intelligence technology in the healthcare industry, possessing a certain degree of advancement, representativeness, innovation, and practicality. They should show significant effectiveness in promoting applications within the healthcare sector and have accumulated relevant experience. Such cases shall hold strong reference significance and promotional value for related industries or enterprises.

(2) Submitted cases must ensure authenticity, with accurate data, strong logical coherence, and practical operability. Outcomes should be quantifiable and evaluable, and all fabrication and falsification are strictly prohibited.
