Naval Medical University First Affiliated Hospital (Changhai Hospital) Launches Internet Hospital to Enhance Military Healthcare Services
To adapt to the new situation and requirements of strengthening the military through reform and to improve measures for serving the armed forces, the hospital has fully launched the Changhai Internet Hospital project. By integrating the construction model of the “Changhai Good Military Doctor” base with the specific needs of system support units, and addressing the challenge of retired cadres at veteran cadre sanatoriums having to travel back and forth between the sanatoriums and the hospital for follow-up visits and medication dispensing, the hospital is exploring a new model for military service.

On the afternoon of December 27, 2018, Changhai Hospital successfully held the launch ceremony for the “Changhai Hospital Internet Hospital.” The ceremony was attended by Vice President Cheng Chuanmiao of Naval Medical University, Dai Bojun, Director of the University’s Academic Affairs Office, Zhong Haizhong, President of Changhai Hospital, Political Commissar Wu Wei, Vice President Zhou Quan, and leaders from affiliated support units.
The official launch of the Internet Hospital has enabled a suite of service capabilities, including remote video follow-up consultations, online prescription issuance, online health guidance, and home delivery of medications. This will significantly enhance the medical experience for grassroots military units and retired senior cadres, allowing them to benefit from the convenient, precise, and efficient services provided by Changhai Hospital.
