VCBeat (WeChat Official Account: vcbeat) has learned that on January 14, Winningtemp, a developer of employee health applications, announced it had secured $3.7 million in capital investment. The funding, provided by investors including Norrsken Foundation, Chalmers Ventures, and Almi Invest, will be used for product development, new employee recruitment, and the expansion of international operations at Winningtemp.
It is reported that since its establishment in 2014, Winningtemp has raised approximately $350,000 in seed funding from investors such as Chalmers Ventures and angel investor Alexander Hars.
Founded in 2014, Winningtemp aims to provide a solution for “real-time visualization of personal development and its relationship with organizational development.” Through its software application, Winningtemp helps enterprises monitor employee well-being, thereby enhancing job satisfaction and reducing absenteeism due to sick leave. Available in more than 15 languages, the application developed by Winningtemp not only flags risks to occupational mental health but also offers remedial measures, helping employers boost team morale.
“We have already seen the results achieved by Winningtemp through its ability to identify employees at risk of stress and burnout syndrome. Winningtemp has not only gained more clients but also played a genuine role in the workplace,” said Patrik Sjöstrand, Investment Manager at Almin Invest. “Winningtemp’s technology enables company leaders to proactively prevent various health issues arising in the workplace, thereby enhancing employee productivity.”
“Work has a significant impact on our mental health. The application developed by Winningtemp not only measures the mental health challenges we face at work but also provides concrete improvement strategies for employees and leaders,” said Tove Larsson, Chief Investment Officer of Norrsken Foundation. “Winningtemp has made a significant contribution to addressing complex and increasingly prevalent mental health conditions.”
Winningtemp’s success stems from the growing demand among corporate employers for its employee wellness application, which helps employees work more proactively and efficiently while also facilitating a reduction in mental health issues.
Currently, Winningtemp has offices in Gothenburg and Stockholm, with England as its first international market.
“The UK labor market looks somewhat like the Swedish labor market,” said Pierre Lindmark, CEO of Winningtemp. “As a company, we should proactively explore new markets, rather than waiting until markets are saturated before committing resources to generate profits.”
Norrsken Foundation, established in 2016, is an effective altruism foundation dedicated to social tech entrepreneurship. Headquartered in Stockholm and funded by its founder Niklas Adalberth (co-founder of the IT company Klarna), the foundation is not profit-oriented and aims to support companies and organizations deemed to have a positive social impact.
