Tumor Microenvironment Institute Establishes Base at PKU Healthcare Park to Accelerate Innovative Drug Development and Translation

This annual forum was jointly organized by Peking University Medical Innovation Valley Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Kangxing Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

The “International Forum on Tumor Microenvironment (TME) Research” was initiated by Dr. Amato Giaccia, a tenured professor at Stanford University and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, with strong support from the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Meanwhile, the forum received significant attention from the Changping District Government. At the forum, Academician Amato Giaccia also announced that the “Institute for Tumor Microenvironment,” which he founded, would be established at the Peking University Medical Industrial Park, the flagship campus of the PKU Healthcare Innovation Valley. He invited Mr. Li Haisheng, Assistant President of PKU Healthcare Group and General Manager of the PKU Healthcare Innovation Valley, to jointly unveil the institute.

It is reported that all five innovative antibody drugs currently under development by Academician Amato Giaccia have been introduced to the Peking University Healthcare Industrial Park for R&D and translation. In the future, PKU Healthcare Innovation Valley will provide comprehensive support for the R&D and translation of these innovative drugs in areas such as financing services, industrial resource matchmaking, and registration filings.
