Abogen Biosciences Appoints Dr. Iain McFadyen as Chief AI Officer and Member of the Scientific Advisory Board. He will lead the company’s digital platform development and AI technology advancement, accelerating innovation and commercialization of Abogen's RNA therapeutics.
Dr. Iain McFadyen has extensive experience and deep expertise in computational science, AI-driven drug discovery, and digital platform development. He served as Chief Data Science Officer at Tessera Therapeutics and LifeMine Therapeutics, leading multidisciplinary teams to build end-to-end comprehensive computational science infrastructure. Previously, he was Vice President at Moderna Therapeutics, where he conceptualized and established the computational science department from the ground up, developed machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI) capabilities, and achieved groundbreaking results in mRNA sequence design. He also founded a next-generation analytics division focused on high-throughput sequencing (NGS) analysis and spearheaded the development of a customized informatics platform for mRNA, setting a new industry benchmark for innovation in this field.
