Dare Circle, Backed by Google, AXA, and Sanofi, Files Prospectus to Support Late-Stage Women's Health Startups

VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that tech giant Google, insurer AXA, and healthcare company Sanofi have recently collaborated to establish an organization dedicated to women’s health, named Women & Access to Health dare Circle (hereinafter referred to as “Dare Circle”). On January 25, the organization officially launched a new call for project applications to support late-stage startups focused on women’s healthcare. The application period will close on February 15.

Dare Circle, established in late 2018, aims to support startups in leveraging new technologies to address the challenges women face in accessing healthcare services. Dare Circle stated, “This new initiative was launched to support companies in the women’s health sector, encouraging them to utilize innovative technologies to tackle the myriad difficulties women encounter when seeking medical care, including geographical barriers, financial constraints, and lack of information.”

For a long time, women have faced numerous challenges in accessing medical services. Typically, clinical trials have predominantly enrolled male participants, and research teams lack a sufficient foundation in women’s health research, leading to incomplete or inaccurate diagnoses for female patients. While women’s health has become an urgent priority, a growing number of small startups focused on this sector are grappling with funding shortages.

Karen Linehan, Vice President at Sanofi, stated, “We aim to expand our investment channels to support companies that are improving women’s health, ensuring that even women in remote areas have access to better medical services. We encourage startups worldwide to apply for this program.”

It is understood that companies successfully selected for the program will receive over €100,000 in funding, as well as active mentorship from Dare Circle partners.
