From February 11 to 15, the 2019 HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as HIMSS19) was held in Orlando, Florida, USA. As one of the most influential large-scale exhibitions in the healthcare information technology industry worldwide, it attracted 45,000 healthcare IT professionals, clinicians, healthcare administrators, government policymakers, and corporate representatives from more than 90 countries around the globe.

At the HIMSS19 conference, medical technology company VivaLNK unveiled its flagship product—the Enlyt Health connected medical wearable sensor platform. The platform’s biometric technology captures human vital signs and uploads patients’ physiological data to the cloud, where backend systems perform application-integrated analysis on the uploaded data to generate analytical reports.

It is reported that VivaLNK’s connected medical wearable sensor platform, Enlyt Health, can capture data such as heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, and electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythms. The platform has three primary applications:

I. Monitoring physiological changes in healthy populations and predicting potential health risks;

II. Provide physical monitoring for patients in the early stages of disease, alleviating the burden of long-term hospitalization;

III. Linking medical institutions with patients to enhance nursing efficiency in medical institutions.

VivaLNK is a technology company focused on the research and development of wearable technology products, founded in Silicon Valley in 2014. As a company renowned for its technological prowess, VivaLNK once gained widespread acclaim for developing electronic tattoos. In 2014, the company collaborated with Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) division to develop a “digital tattoo.” As the world’s first mass-produced flexible electronic product, the digital tattoo is coin-sized, making it highly portable and easy to store. When applied to the skin, the device enables immediate identity authentication, thereby facilitating rapid smartphone unlocking.

VivaLNK places great emphasis on talent acquisition. Co-founder Jiang Li previously served as a Vice President at AMD, a leading U.S. semiconductor company, and holds more than 20 U.S. patents. The VivaLNK team also includes the Chief of Cardiology at UCSF, as well as professionals holding Ph.D. degrees in Medical Engineering from the United States and Mechanical Engineering from Japan. Today, VivaLNK holds numerous unique technological patents and maintains a leading position in the wearable device market.

VivaLnk is highly competitive in product research and development. In 2015, VivaLnk launched the first-generation product of its eSkin® medical solution—Fever Scout, a flexible patch that monitors body temperature in real time and remotely transmits temperature data. In 2017, VivaLnk introduced its second-generation product—Vital Scout, which can monitor vital physiological parameters such as respiratory rate, sleep quality, stress levels, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation.

“Enlyt Health is an innovative, HIPAA-compliant platform that delivers personalized services to patients. It seamlessly integrates with existing electronic health record (EHR) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems at healthcare institutions, while also enabling convenient access to each patient’s health status,” said Sue Dafnias, CEO of VivaLNK, in an interview with the media. “Enlyt Health offers a range of features customizable to the needs of each hospital system, providing patients with information on their health records, medications, referrals, and laboratory results, and helping them find suitable physicians within their hospital network.”
