VCBeat has learned that on March 4, 2019, Adagene, a biopharmaceutical company committed to becoming “a premier global brand for cutting-edge original antibodies,” announced a collaboration with the globally renowned biopharmaceutical company Celgene Corporation. Under this partnership, Adagene will leverage its proprietary Dynamic Precision Library (DPL) to provide antibody drug development services for multiple targets to Celgene.

Founded in 2012, Adagene is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. Leveraging its proprietary Dynamic Precision Antibody (DPA) technology, the company has built the world’s largest high-quality antibody library, valued at trillions of dollars. It also possesses the world’s first high-throughput screening platform that integrates precision computational design with experimental construction, combining both yeast and phage display technologies. This unique technology platform has facilitated successful collaborations between Adagene and its global commercial partners.

“Adagene has been committed to developing display technologies for complex targets,” said Dr. Luo Peizhi, Chairman and CEO of Adagene. “We look forward to collaborating with Celgene’s R&D team to jointly explore and discover novel antibody therapeutics targeting highly challenging antigens.”

“Our dynamic, precision antibody library covers a diverse range of antigen epitopes and ensures the druggability of antibodies to facilitate downstream development,” said Dr. Du Fangyong, Vice President of Technology Development at Adagene. “The construction and screening of our antibody library are subject to strict quality control, helping clients efficiently and rapidly advance their products into clinical trials.”
