KaVo Kerr has always been committed to developing innovative solutions for the dental community.
From March 12 to 16, 2019, the 38th International Dental Show (hereinafter referred to as “IDS”) was held at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Organized by GFDI, the commercial subsidiary of the German Association of Dental Manufacturers (VDDI), IDS is a biennial event. The exhibition showcases top-tier dental equipment, instruments, pharmaceuticals, and technologies in the global dental trade market, making it the largest and most influential trade fair in the international oral health industry. As the world’s largest professional gathering in the dental field, this year’s IDS featured over 160,000 square meters of exhibition space and attracted professionals and dental companies from nearly 60 countries worldwide.
At the IDS exhibition, KaVo Kerr, a global leader in dental equipment and consumables manufacturing, launched its new dental micromotor—elements™ e-motion—which features enhanced adaptive motion capabilities for improved suitability in endodontics.

The enhanced adaptive motion feature of the new dental micromotor elements™ e-motion delivers greater cutting capacity, while the new torque limitation function minimizes the risk of breakage, improving both efficiency and safety.
Elements™ e-Motion is fully developed and manufactured in Germany, with a stainless steel handpiece made by KaVo. The device features five individually adjustable presets, each supporting up to 10 files, and offers an easy-to-use, user-friendly color touchscreen interface.
Elements™ e-Motion provides an intelligent feedback algorithm that automatically switches the file to a reciprocating mode based on the load it encounters. Additionally, the new maximum torque limit offers enhanced safety. When combined with TF Adaptive files, users can directly realize all the benefits of the TF Adaptive system, including: adaptive motion that resists cyclic fatigue and reduces torsional stress on the file; and the crystalline structure of TF files, which provides a greater elastic range, improved fracture resistance, and higher strength.
Notably, in addition to the dental micro motor elements™ e-motion, KaVo Kerr also unveiled several impressive new products at this year’s IDS, including the OptiBond™ eXTRa Universal dental adhesive, the RELAXline illuminated dental treatment unit, and the X Pro intraoral scanner.
