From March 12 to 16, 2019, the 38th International Dental Show (hereinafter referred to as “IDS”) was held at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Organized by GFDI, the commercial subsidiary of the German Association of Dental Manufacturers (VDDI), IDS is a biennial event. The exhibition showcases premier dental equipment, instruments, pharmaceuticals, and technologies in the global dental trade market, making it the largest and most influential trade fair in the international oral health industry. As the world’s largest professional gathering in the dental field, this year’s IDS featured over 160,000 square meters of exhibition space and attracted professionals and dental companies from nearly 60 countries around the world.

FKG Dentaire SA (hereinafter referred to as “FKG”) is a global leader in endodontic treatment solutions, at the forefront of innovation, development, and manufacturing. FKG’s brand reputation is built on its high-quality Swiss-made products, such as the industry-transforming XP-endo 3D solution launched at IDS four years ago.

During the IDS exhibition, FKG launched a brand-new endodontic treatment solution and offered professional training workshops at its booth.

The new endodontic treatment device features a paradigm shift, utilizing FKG’s proprietary adaptive core technology and integrating the latest generation of nickel-titanium alloys. FKG’s patented body-temperature expansion capability is supported by the XP-endo solution, which is exclusive to its comprehensive treatment system.

“In our pursuit of delivering the most comprehensive system to the field of endodontics, we introduced a new clinical sequence at IDS 2019, focusing on more effective retreatment solutions: XP-endo Retreatment,” said Thierry Rouiller, President of FKG.

FKG provides dental practitioners and patients with a simpler, safer, and comprehensive endodontic treatment solution, ranging from initial therapy to retreatment management.

“We are committed to pursuing excellence by continuously providing innovative solutions to the market. Our company actively supports advanced education in endodontics worldwide,” explained Olivier Collet, CEO of FKG.

FKG was founded in Switzerland in 1931 and gained new momentum after Jean-Claude Rouiller took over the company in 1994. He propelled FKG to the forefront of developing, manufacturing, and marketing products for dentists, endodontists, and dental laboratories. In 2011, Thierry Rouiller, son of Jean-Claude Rouiller, succeeded him as the head of the company.

In addition to supporting a wide range of clinical studies frequently published in many prestigious international journals, FKG consistently anticipates and responds to the needs of end-users by establishing partnerships with leading universities worldwide. FKG provides dental training, notably at its headquarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and at the training center of its Dubai subsidiary.

FKG provides its instruments globally through its carefully structured distributor network.
