Therapixel Secures €5 Million Series A Funding to Advance AI-Powered Breast Cancer Screening System

The funds will be used to promote the next phase of deployment for its AI-powered primary reading function in breast cancer monitoring.

It is reported that this round of financing was co-led by Omnes and M Capital Partners, with participation from Région Sud Investissement (managed by Turenne Capital), IT-Translation, and Credit Agricole. In addition, Therapixel has expanded its board of directors, appointing Sacha Loiseau, Chairman and Founder of Mauna Kea Technologies, as an independent board member, who was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board. Pierre Fillard, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Therapixel, has been appointed as the company’s Chief Executive Officer until a new CEO joins the company.

Therapixel is a global leader in applying artificial intelligence to the field of radiology. The company was the winner of the 2017 DREAM Challenge on Digital Mammography Screening and is currently dedicated to developing an AI-based service to assist radiologists in reviewing mammograms for breast cancer detection.
