PharmaCircleMonitoring shows:Recently, Eli Lilly and Company's acquisition of Ventyx Biosciences may be about to be announced. (Based on the post-market increase, a temporary price hike for the acquisition might be necessary. However, for Eli Lilly, this is just a drop in the bucket.)

The target is shown in the figure and will also be described in the text below.
This acquisition will help Eli Lilly further expand its business in the field of inflammatory diseases, going beyond its existing diabetes and obesity drugs, including Trulicity and Mounjaro.
Ventyx's NLRP3 inhibitor targets the NLRP3 inflammasome, a key component of the immune system associated with various chronic diseases. The company's VTX3232, an NLRP3 inhibitor capable of penetrating the central nervous system, has shown promising results in Phase 2a clinical trials for Parkinson's disease.
On Tuesday, Eli Lilly also announced another collaboration with Nimbus Therapeutics to jointly develop oral therapies for obesity.
