2019 marked the fifth year since the founding of the Honghui team. Our team building, business development, and service enhancement have entered a new phase. Starting this year, Honghui will invite leading figures in the healthcare industry to serve as “Honghui Industry Mentors,” aiming to deepen our understanding and insight into the industry while providing guidance and direction for our future investments. These industry leaders will also help us deliver more practical, value-added services to Honghui’s portfolio companies.
At the beginning of 2019, we were honored to appoint Mr. Yin Xudong, President of Novartis Pharmaceuticals’ Asia-Pacific and Emerging Markets Region; Professor Gao Jiechun, Director of the Hospital Management Institute at Fudan University and doctoral supervisor; and Mr. Cheng Minghe, Director and President of Mindray Medical, as the inaugural “Honghui Industry Mentors.”
Mr. Xu Dong Yin, Chairman of Novartis Pharmaceuticals for the Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets region. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Peking University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. He previously served as President of AstraZeneca China, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning at AstraZeneca, and Vice President of the Generic Medicines Business Unit, among other roles.

Professor Gao Jiechun, Director of the Institute of Hospital Management at Fudan University and Doctoral Supervisor. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Professor Gao joined the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University. He successively served as Associate Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor in Pediatric Surgery. Since 1992, he has held various leadership positions, including Vice President of the Children’s Hospital, Director of the Office of Industrial Assets at Shanghai Medical University, Director of the Office of Medical Science and Technology at Fudan University, and President of the Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital of Fudan University. He serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal Tumor, and Standing Editorial Board Member of the journal Pediatric Oncology.

Mr. Cheng Minghe, Director and President of Mindray Medical. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since 2000, he has successively served as Vice President of International Marketing, Executive Vice President of Strategic Development, Chief Strategy Officer, and Co-CEO at Mindray. He is also one of the founders of Mindray Medical.
