A health information management startup in India
VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) recently learned that Indian digital health unicorn Netmeds has announced the acquisition of health tech startup KiViHealth, with an additional $10 million investment to integrate and develop KiViHealth’s wellness business unit. This acquisition will help Netmeds transition from traditional pharmaceutical sales to a vertically integrated healthcare product and service company. Notably, last September, Netmeds also acquired JustDoc, an online video consultation platform, to enter the healthcare diagnostics and consultation sector.
Netmeds is an Indian online pharmacy company that provides certified prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and other health products. Since its establishment in 2010, Netmeds has served more than 3.7 million customers across over 610 cities in India.
KiViHealth is a healthtech startup headquartered in Ahmedabad, India, founded by Bhanu Mahajan and Rajandeep Singh in 2015. The company leverages artificial intelligence, automation, and visual aids to develop patient-centric digital healthcare management information systems, which can be deployed in clinics, hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies.
In addition, KiViHealth has developed an online consultation platform that integrates appointment scheduling, medical consultations, and payment processing. The company has established partnerships with more than 3,100 hospitals and boasts over 2,000 registered physicians. During consultations, doctors can generate digital prescriptions, a method that not only prevents misunderstandings regarding medications and dosages but also creates electronic records for easy storage. To date, the company has archived medical records for more than 2 million patients.

“We continue to develop a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem around Netmeds. The acquired KiViHealth is an outstanding company in the healthcare sector, addressing patient needs while enhancing physicians’ office efficiency,” said Pradeep Dadha, CEO of Netmeds.
When discussing the features of KiViHealth, Pradeep Dadha stated, “The platform not only creates a digital repository of patient health records but also supports daily operations such as appointment scheduling, invoicing, and medication inventory management.”
KiViHealth Co-founder Bhanu Mahajan stated, “Netmeds is one of the most trusted brands in the e-healthcare sector. This acquisition will boost our confidence, accelerate company growth, and help us achieve our goals more rapidly.”
