VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that on April 1, 2019, medical device company ten3T announced the completion of its pre-A financing round, with the specific amount undisclosed. The round was led by ITI Growth Opportunities Fund, with participation from pi Ventures and private investors from the angel round. ten3T had previously completed its angel financing round in December 2016.

ten3T will utilize this funding to expand the application scenarios of its core product, Cicer, such as in-home care, ambulance monitoring, and pharmacovigilance research. Cicer is a patch approximately the size of a palm that can monitor patients’ electrocardiograms (ECG), respiration, pulse, and body temperature in real time, transmitting reports instantly to doctors’ tablets and nursing stations. Additionally, Cicer can detect blood oxygen saturation and blood pressure, feeding real-time data into algorithms. In the event of a sudden medical crisis, the device can identify changes in vital signs and promptly send life-saving alerts. This enables many smaller nursing homes to provide monitoring while patients are mobile or even at home, without requiring admission to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
