On January 7, Corsera Health, founded by RNAi (RNA interference) pioneer John Maraganore, announced that it had raised $80 million in Series A financing.
Forbion and Population Health Partners co-led this oversubscribed Series A financing round, with other key investors including Dr. John Maraganore, co-founder and co-CEO of Corsera Health, Inc. The first part of the Series A round is expected to initiate a Phase 1 trial for COR-2003 (a novel investigational subcutaneously administered siRNA targeting AGT) by mid-2026.
COR-1004: An siRNA drug targeting PCSK9, which has now entered Phase I clinical trials and dosing has begun. This type of siRNA drug aims to inhibit PCSK9 expression, thereby reducing LDL cholesterol, and is expected to be used for long-term prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
