MS Pharma Acquires Genepharm to Expand Global Generics Portfolio and Geographic Reach

Under the terms of the acquisition agreement, MS Pharma has obtained 100% of the issued shares of Genepharm. The senior management team of Genepharm will remain with the company to guide it toward achieving its next-stage development goals. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to be closed by the end of April.

The transaction also enriches MS Pharma’s existing portfolio of chronic disease treatments by adding several core products in the areas of cardiovascular diseases, the central nervous system, and oncology.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Genepharm will become part of the MS Pharma Group, gaining direct access to MS Pharma’s manufacturing facilities and product portfolio. MS Pharma will assist Genepharm in optimizing its existing sterile injectable products and biotech candidates, as well as in formulating plans to expand into the Athens healthcare market.
