On April 16, the 2019 Medical Robotics Innovation Competition, co-hosted by Baidu Ventures and the Medtronic China Fund, was officially launched! The competition aims to identify innovative solutions with breakthrough creativity that leverage technologies such as AI, sensors, robotics, and 3D imaging to better address challenges in medical scenarios.
Submissions may consist of mature products or innovative designs and concepts backed by technical reserves. Eligible themes span seven major domains, including surgery, rehabilitation, medical assistance, and related intelligent hardware and software, as detailed below:

We are seeking to recruit partners from academic institutions such as Beihang University, China Jiliang University, Tianjin University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Chongqing University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Soochow University, and others.
We are seeking institutional partners such as the Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies at Peking University, the Institute of Health and Rehabilitation Science and Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, the Center for Digital Healthcare and Virtual Reality at Central South University, the Biodynamic Optical Imaging Center at Peking University, the Medical Robotics Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Mass Innovation Space at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and the Smart Healthcare Electronics Center at Fudan University.
The partners we are seeking to recruit include laboratories such as Tinavi Medical Technologies, the Key Laboratory of Beihang University, the MOE-China Mobile Joint Laboratory for Mobile Healthcare, and the Joint Laboratory for Medical Big Data.
