VCBeat (WeChat Official Account: vcbeat) learned from foreign media that on May 14, U.S. local time, biotechnology company IsoPlexis completed a $25 million Series C financing round. The funds from this round will be used to advance research on cell monitoring systems, helping patients treat diseases at the cellular level.

It is reported that this round of financing was led by Northpond Ventures, with participation from Spring Mountain Capital, Ironwood Capital, and Connecticut Innovations.

IsoPlexis, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Connecticut, USA, is a biotechnology company dedicated to the research and development of cellular response analysis platforms.

The company’s flagship product is IsoLight, a cell analysis system. The IsoLight system links each individual immune cell to its cytokine profile within the platform, coordinating the molecular signals emitted by different cells. The data on immune cell subsets and experimental results obtained through this system correlate with in vivo physiological conditions, providing medical teams with actionable insights to support scientifically informed diagnostic decisions.

IsoLight offers services across the following five areas: (1) Cell Engineering and Therapy: The IsoLight system enables real-time monitoring of cellular conditions within the human body. After patients receive medication, researchers can analyze drug efficacy and durability based on system data, allowing for timely adjustments to treatment plans; (2) Immunotherapy: When monitoring human immune cells, IsoLight analyzes the mechanisms of the immune system and provides personalized immunotherapeutic regimens for patients; (3) Vaccine Research: The system can also simulate the operational mechanisms of the human immune system, assisting medical teams in vaccine research; (4) Inflammation and Autoimmune Diseases: For patients with innate immune system disorders, IsoLight identifies defective immune cells within patient cell populations and develops targeted therapies based on the extent of cellular damage; (5) Solid Tumors and Oncology Treatment: While monitoring normal cells, IsoLight tracks the behavior of tumor cells in the human body. Based on the status of tumor cells in individual patients, it helps medical teams determine diagnostic and treatment strategies and advances related drug development.
