One-stop Solution Provider for Internet Healthcare
Yuntai Network, an internet healthcare brand, recently announced the completion of its Series B strategic financing round, raising over RMB 100 million. The round was led by CEC Health Industry Fund, with Langsheng Investment participating as a co-investor. Following this financing, Yuntai Network will continue to strengthen its layout of internet hospitals and expand into businesses such as prescription circulation, aiming to achieve scaled operations and build an integrated online-to-offline ecosystem that provides comprehensive coverage of medical and health services.

Yuntai Network originated from the Mobile Healthcare Division established by Hundsun Technologies in 2013. After more than a year of internal incubation, it was officially registered and incorporated in March 2015. Adhering to national policy guidance, relying on the development of physical hospitals, and accurately grasping industry trends, Yuntai Network, as a “new force” in internet healthcare, achieved rapid success despite its late start. Within less than two months of official operations, it swiftly secured nearly RMB 100 million in Series A financing from Yunfeng Capital. The recent introduction of CEHC Health Industry Fund, a strategic investor with the background of the “national team” in health and medical big data, will provide stronger support for the sustained development of Yuntai Network.
Locking in the Physical Hospital Sector
Yuntai Network initially leveraged China’s first financial-grade secure mobile health technology to achieve seamless integration with major hospital information systems, establishing a high-quality, efficient, and end-to-end mobile healthcare service model. This approach has yielded impressive results: Yuntai Network has established deep collaborations with nearly 600 large and medium-sized hospitals, with its business presence spanning 26 provinces and municipalities across China.
In recent years, Yuntai Network has adhered to the philosophy of openness and integration, launching a diversified strategic product portfolio that includes Internet hospitals, regional cloud hospitals, cloud pharmacies, and a national healthcare platform. It has successfully connected more than 5,800 hospitals and over 100 high-quality health service providers across China, cumulatively providing convenient and secure smart healthcare services to hundreds of millions of users.
Refining Core Competencies to Achieve Sustainable Development
Public data indicates that China’s health industry is still in its early stages of development, with the market size projected to reach RMB 8 trillion by 2020, indicating substantial growth potential. In the niche sector of internet hospitals, a construction boom has swept across the country. A recent report released by the National Health Commission shows that there are already 158 internet hospitals nationwide, and the policy framework for “Internet + Healthcare” has been basically established. Including large tertiary Grade-A hospitals, thousands of internet hospitals are expected to emerge in the future. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the separation of prescribing from dispensing and the zero-markup policy on pharmaceuticals, the trend toward building prescription circulation service systems on the hospital side has significantly intensified.
Yuntai Network has stood out among numerous participants in the healthcare industry, thanks to its early deep collaboration with public medical institutions and its profound insight into market demands.
Yuntai Network has earned strong recognition from hospitals due to its superior technical security capabilities, mature product solutions, and deeply personalized operational expertise. Meanwhile, guided by policy directives and leveraging its offline hospital service network along with technologies such as big data and cloud computing, the company has streamlined the complex nodes across the healthcare industry. With a robust ecosystem and accumulated health big data resources, Yuntai Network sustainably empowers partners in various sectors, including hospitals, health regulatory authorities, finance, and pharmaceuticals and medical devices. It has established its core competitiveness through resource integration, technological enhancement, ecosystem connectivity, data-driven empowerment, and differentiated services.
Moreover, Yuntai Network’s commercialization strategy has gradually accelerated. As early as 2016, its subsidiary, Yunhui Technology, partnered with the Guangdong Hospital Association to establish China’s first provincial-level cloud hospital platform—Guangdong Cloud Hospital. This initiative created a one-stop healthcare closed loop encompassing “online consultation, electronic prescription, payment and medication purchase, home delivery, and health record updates,” while also providing remote chronic disease management and extended pharmaceutical services for both doctors and patients, marking its initial step into commercial exploration.
Amid a favorable policy environment and increasingly stringent regulations, Yuntai Network is actively collaborating with hospitals to explore and implement compliant, one-stop solutions for internet hospitals. This initiative aims to comprehensively support hospitals in reducing costs, improving efficiency, and upgrading services, while empowering various industries through data and technology, thereby laying a solid foundation for scaled operations.
National Team Funds Enter the Market
Yuan Yu, Founder and Chairman of Yuntai Network, stated, “Since April last year, the intensive rollout of supportive policies by multiple national ministries and agencies has effectively served as a ‘reassurance’ for the entire internet healthcare industry. The demand for digital transformation among medical institutions is growing increasingly robust, and the industry’s development has entered a critically important phase. The entry of state-backed funds further demonstrates the national government’s support and emphasis on internet healthcare, while also fully affirming Yuntai Network’s years of practical experience and comprehensive capabilities. This strategic cooperation holds milestone significance for the development of Yuntai Network. Both parties will jointly explore the compliant application of health and medical big data, create an innovative internet healthcare model based on health big data, and achieve a new pattern of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.”
CEC Data is a national health and medical big data industry development group established under the guidance of the National Health Commission, led by China Electronics Corporation (CEC), in partnership with SDIC Group, the National Adjustment Fund, Tencent Group, and Sequoia Capital. As a key capital link in CEC Data’s industrial layout, the CEC Health Industry Fund focuses on investing in highly relevant sectors radiating from the health and medical data industry, such as Fintech, Biotech, artificial intelligence, and next-generation internet technologies. Since its inception, the fund has maintained a strong focus on the internet healthcare sector.
Amid Fierce Competition in Internet Healthcare, How Did Yuntai Network Win the Favor of State-Backed Funds? Li Shifeng, Managing Partner of CEC Health Industry Fund, stated: “Yuntai Network is committed to innovating the ‘Hospital + Internet’ model, comprehensively covering both in-hospital and out-of-hospital scenarios, thereby establishing a virtuous synergy in health and medical data collaboration and business integration. This aligns closely with our own strategic layout for a big data ecosystem in healthcare. Coupled with the continuous release of favorable policy signals, its long-term investment value is beyond doubt, and it is poised to become a hub-type platform with nationwide reach.”
Following CEC Health Industry Fund’s investment in Yuntai Network, the two parties will establish a strategic partnership. In addition to providing capital support, CEC Health Industry Fund will leverage CEC Data’s advantages in healthcare big data and its extensive industry resources to empower Yuntai Network in areas such as business growth and integration of industrial resources.
In the future, Yuntai Network will continue to strengthen its internet-based medical service system anchored in physical hospitals. Driven by innovative businesses such as internet hospitals and prescription circulation platforms, it will accelerate the deep integration of traditional healthcare with “Internet Plus,” empowering a comprehensive upgrade of healthcare service models. It is reported that Yuntai Network’s next round of financing has also been successfully launched.
