VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that Swanton Care, with the support of Apposite Capital, recently acquired Value in Care, a provider of living and home care services, further consolidating Swanton’s care operations in Wales. Specific details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Swanton, established in 2006, is a national specialist care provider. The company delivers residential care services to individuals with complex learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and acquired brain injuries. Swanton operates 24 specialist residential care homes across East Anglia, the West Midlands, Wales, and Scotland. The company currently employs over 780 staff and generates an annual revenue of £25 million.
Anne-Laure Meynier, who is responsible for acquisitions at Apposite Capita, stated: “This acquisition is a strong complement to Swanton’s business, as the geographic locations and service scope of Value in Care facilities are highly complementary to those of Swanton.”

Value in Care is a specialist care provider based in Wales, offering long-term residential care for individuals with complex learning disabilities, complex mental health conditions, and acquired brain injuries. The organization provides tailored, person-centered care services for individuals with autism and Asperger’s syndrome. In addition to delivering comprehensive primary and secondary healthcare services, the organization also offers physical therapy, psychotherapy, drama therapy, and art therapy.
Apposite Capital, established in 2006, is a venture capital firm headquartered in London. Apposite Capital focuses on investment projects in the healthcare sector, providing operational funding support and strategic guidance to its portfolio companies to jointly build market-leading enterprises.
