Following the completion of the acquisition, Arrotek Medical’s co-founders, Mark Pugh and Ger O’Carroll, will continue to serve as directors of the company.

Galt Medical, founded in Texas, USA, in 1991, is a leading medical device company in the field of catheter-based interventional procedures, dedicated to developing a range of products for such interventions. The company’s products have received consistent acclaim from clinicians and are widely used in interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, and IV therapy.

Galt Medical’s primary business involves providing product customization and design services to medical device companies of all sizes. These services include modifying Galt Medical’s existing products according to the requirements of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) clients, exclusively designing and developing products for customers, and assisting clients in obtaining regulatory approvals from agencies such as the CE and the FDA. In August 2006, Galt Medical was acquired by Theragenics, a medical device company specializing in cancer treatment.

Arrotek Medical is a medical device company headquartered in western Ireland, dedicated to developing minimally invasive medical devices for catheter-based interventional procedures. The company provides medical device development and manufacturing services to OEM clients, covering concept design, product development, ISO standard testing, label design, regulatory approval, and more. Notably, the intellectual property rights of the developed products belong to the OEM clients, and Arrotek Medical maintains strict confidentiality regarding its collaborations with clients.

Frank Attardo, President of Galt Medical, stated at the press conference, “The expertise of Galt Medical and Arrotek Medical is highly complementary. By combining Arrotek Medical’s product development capabilities with Galt Medical’s manufacturing and processing strengths, the merged company will be better positioned to serve its customers and will have the resources needed to accelerate its expansion.”
