Recently, VCBeat (WeChat Official Account: vcbeat) learned that Docttocare, a healthcare services company based in Bangalore, has completed a seed funding round of approximately $5.75 million (400 million Indian rupees). The investment was provided by the startup incubation fund mPower Solutions and will be used to enhance Docttocare’s product experience and expand its user base.
Docttocare, founded in 2016, enables users to book hospitals, doctors, and hospital beds through its website, as well as reserve ambulances online.
Sugandha Agarwal, founder and CEO of Docttocare, stated, “In India, high-quality healthcare products and services are concentrated in major cities. Docttocare helps people access quality medical resources more equitably by providing online healthcare booking services.”
As of now, Docttocare has served 50,000 patients, and its user base is projected to reach 200,000 by December 2020.
Docttocare primarily collaborates with major hospitals in India, such as Manipal Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, Sakra World Hospital, Artemis Hospitals, and BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital.
With the rapid growth of India's healthcare industry market share, Docttocare anticipates that the scale of the Indian healthcare market will continue to expand in the coming years. Currently, online healthcare solutions in India struggle to serve the entire population; however, Docttocare is able to reach a broader demographic by providing more cost-effective healthcare service solutions through its online medical appointment booking platform.
Docttocare is a powerful online service platform that provides clinics with online medical diagnostic tools and offers physicians a panoramic view to facilitate patient diagnosis. Additionally, Docttocare enables patients to filter clinics by ratings, browse information on doctors across various departments, and schedule appointments online.
Docttocare also offers distinctive services such as online booking for ambulances, hospital beds, and blood bank supplies. Users can easily make reservations via email, phone, or text message.
Docttocare’s Founder and CEO, Sugandha Agarwal, previously worked at IT giants such as Infosys and Google. She established Docttocare with the vision of creating a platform that enables more Indians to access high-quality healthcare resources.
