“China Youth Health Care Classroom” Public Welfare Science Popularization Project Launched

Director Li Guoqiang introduced that the “China Adolescent Health Care Classroom” public welfare science popularization project aims to collaborate with medical expert teams. Focusing on 15 key areas of health education, the project offers tailored curricula for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and parents. Experts from various fields are invited to record, produce, and promote these courses, thereby safeguarding the healthy growth of adolescents, enhancing family health literacy, and providing professional, scientific, and practical health management knowledge to adolescents and their families. Through this public welfare initiative, the project further mobilizes social resources to support the development of health culture in rural areas, schools, and households.

The “Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan” proposes that strengthening health care for adolescents and children, and creating an atmosphere and environment conducive to their healthy growth for the next generation, is our bounden responsibility. The health of adolescents and children serves as a robust guarantee for the implementation of the national future health strategy. Health education should be integrated into the national education system and regarded as an essential component of quality-oriented education at all educational stages. With primary and secondary schools as the focal point, a mechanism for advancing school-based health education should be established.

Behind every adolescent stands a family, and each adolescent will eventually establish their own family. Health education targeting adolescents is the most effective approach to deeply promote health concepts and scientific knowledge. The public welfare science popularization project “China Adolescent Health Care Classroom,” launched during this forum, integrates health services with educational services. It will serve as a cornerstone for mobilizing social forces from all sectors to participate in and support health services, playing a leading role in fostering healthy campus and family cultures, promoting health civilization, encouraging healthy lifestyle practices, and enhancing health literacy.

She guided the audience through a review of the three paradigm shifts in the evolution of medicine: from the natural medicine model to the biomedical model, and finally to the current and future biopsychosocial medical model. She emphasized that life itself is the true object of our care; medicine is not a cold, sacrosanct discipline, nor should physicians project an aloof image. Instead, we must break down knowledge barriers between disciplines to serve life. Accordingly, she proposed the motto: “To serve life, we are willing to adopt the most humble stance and integrate all that is possible.”

In the dialogue session titled “Integrated Development of the Health Industry,” Director Feng Xue, Mr. Wang Shuo, Editor-in-Chief of Caixin Media, Ms. Liang Ning, a renowned product strategy expert and founding partner of Junyao Capital, Mr. Li Shaobo, Chairman of Sinocare Inc., and Mr. Luo Xiaobin, Senior Vice President of Miao Health, engaged in an in-depth discussion on “the integrated development of the health industry.”

By working together to build an international, cross-sector alliance integrating industry, academia, and research, we can create a thriving global community for healthcare and general wellness, thereby establishing a harmonious landscape that is essential to humanity’s pursuit of health.
