Following the acquisition, with the support of Ampersand Capital Partners, Vibalogics GmbH has been able to strengthen its comprehensive capabilities to meet the substantial unmet demand for viral vector development in the healthcare industry.
Vibalogics GmbH, established in 2002 and headquartered in Lower Saxony, Germany, is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). The company is dedicated to providing process development, cGMP manufacturing, product finishing, and other services to biopharmaceutical companies engaged in the development of oncolytic virus therapies, gene therapies, and vaccines.
Vibalogics GmbH operates a manufacturing plant in Cuxhaven, Germany. The facility covers an area of 2,500 square meters and features four independent GMP production suites, a 600-square-meter cleanroom, and a state-of-the-art automated facility monitoring system. The facility is reported to be fully compliant with international GMP standards.
At its inception, Vibalogics GmbH aimed to produce veterinary products based on viral vector platforms and engage in contract development and manufacturing by hiring industry experts. In 2007, the company shifted its primary focus to the human health sector while continuing to offer a range of veterinary products to its customers. Currently, the company employs 50 people and has expanded its business operations to Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region.
