VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that CORA Physical Therapy (hereinafter referred to as “CORA”) recently announced the acquisition of Advanced Physical Therapy (hereinafter referred to as “Advanced PT”) and Elite Physical Therapy (hereinafter referred to as “Elite PT”) to expand its business operations. The specific financial terms of these two acquisitions were not disclosed.
Elite PT operates five clinics in Missouri, and Advanced PT operates six clinics in Florida. Following the acquisition, CORA PT will operate more than 200 clinics across nine U.S. states.
Elite Physical Therapy, founded by Shane Lawler and Scott Schuessler in 2010, is a company that provides physical therapy services to clients. At its inception, Elite Physical Therapy opened two clinics in Ballwin and Arnold, Missouri. Since then, the company has expanded its presence by adding clinics in South County, Creve Coeur, and O’Fallon, Missouri.
Elite Physical Therapy offers clients a wide range of physical therapy services, including general physical therapy, spinal care, vestibular therapy, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedic treatment, orthotics, workers' compensation solutions, and women's health services.
Advanced PT is a company that provides physical therapy services. In 2001, founder Lester Trey Hammond opened the first Advanced clinic in a village near Ocala, Florida. Currently, the company has expanded its operations to West Ocala, Belleview, East Ocala, and other villages. In addition to general orthopedic rehabilitation, Advanced PT offers specialized programs for Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, lymphedema, cardiac health, stroke recovery, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) treatment.
CORA PT is committed to providing patients with comprehensive care, including outpatient physical therapy, general rehabilitation, workers’ compensation treatment, sports and auto injury rehabilitation, and geriatric rehabilitation, thereby enabling patients to recover as quickly as possible and return to work, study, and daily life.
CORA PT operates more than 200 clinics across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Missouri, ranking among the top 10 physical therapy clinic chains in the United States.

CORA PT also announced plans to acquire two additional clinics in the future: Coastal Physical Therapy and Coastal Hand Therapy.
