Professor He Qiang, Vice President of Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital and overseer of the hospital’s informatization initiatives, has confirmed his attendance at the 2019 Future Hospital New Ecosystem Conference.

Professor He Qiang believes that enhancing tiered diagnosis and treatment, chronic disease management, and precision medicine all require comprehensive transformation of healthcare information systems. He identifies two key priorities in the major overhaul of hospital informatization: first,Enhancing Medical Quality and Safety; second,Enhancing Patient and Healthcare Provider Satisfaction, making it easier to get started with the operation, simplifying patient consultations, and enabling physicians to balance clinical practice with scientific research.

Currently, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital has established a range of innovative services and facilities, including a full-process “face-scanning” medical care system, a remote ultrasound diagnosis center, AI applications in healthcare, a one-stop discharge medication center, and a medical teaching simulation center. The hospital has made significant efforts and implemented detailed measures to enhance its hardware infrastructure, strengthen its soft power, and reengineer clinical workflows.

Under the leadership of Professor He Qiang, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital has implemented an IT-driven reform of its payment settlement processes. The hospital currently offers a variety of convenient payment options, including counter-based settlement, point-of-care settlement, self-service kiosk settlement, mobile app settlement, and bedside settlement. Professor He Qiang stated that further exploration is needed to achieve real-time health insurance reimbursement within the mobile app settlement system.

Leading Experts Convene to Discuss the New Ecosystem of Future Hospitals
