From June 4 to 6, 2019, the 2019 International Sports and Exercise Health Conference & Exhibition (held concurrently with the 4th World Football Conference & Exhibition and the 2nd China International Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference & Exhibition), hosted by Lingshuo Sports and strongly supported by the Sports Medicine Branch of the Chinese Society of Sports Science, the Sports Medicine Branch of the Chinese Biophysics Society, the National Children's Football Federation of the China National Committee for the Care of Next Generation, the National Toddler Football Alliance of the China National Committee for the Care of Next Generation, the Guangzhou Physical Therapy Association, the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Association, the Beijing Football Association, the Weifang Economic Development Zone Football Association, and the Sports Rehabilitation Industry Alliance, was successfully held at the Beijing International Convention Center. This exhibition, themed “The Tide’s Direction—Integration and Transformation” as the theme, integrating and showcasingFootball and Sports Rehabilitationtop-tier expertise and cutting-edge technology, striving to build an integrated platform for resource sharing and collaborative exchange in the football and sports medicine rehabilitation industry.

This edition of the exhibition featured on-site displays by more than 100 outstanding companies and attracted a cumulative total of 3,422 registered professional attendees from over 20 countries and regions worldwide, including China, the United States, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Croatia, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, the Netherlands, and Ireland. Concurrently held events—comprising four international forums, three specialized seminars, and one master training workshop—gathered numerous professionals from the global sports and sports rehabilitation sectors, elevating the exhibition to new heights through multi-dimensional engagement. The event also received extensive attention and comprehensive coverage from more than 80 domestic and international media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, NetEase Sports, Sohu Sports, Tencent Sports, Yutang Sports, The Paper, Global Times, Jiemian News, Football Channel, Octopus Emperor, 39 Health Network, Health Times, and VCBeat.

The two-day 4th World Football Conference featured keynote addresses from senior executives and industry leaders representing the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, the National Children’s Football Federation of China Next Generation Care Working Committee, Wanda Sports, Beijing Sinobo Guoan, Shandong Luneng Taishan, Shenzhen Kaisa, Guangzhou R&F, Beijing Renhe, Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Ajax (Netherlands), Wolverhampton Wanderers (England), Beijing Institute of Technology FC, Beijing Sport University FC, and Hebei Elite Women’s Football Club. These speakers provided an in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing the current development of Chinese football. Meanwhile, experts from Sony, Novotec, Tongli Law Firm, TÜV Rheinland, and SLC Management Consulting offered professional recommendations and practical solutions to address key issues in the industry’s development.

At the concurrently held 2nd China International Conference on Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Professor Li Guoping—Vice President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS), Founding Chairman of the Sports Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and affiliated with the Institute of Sports Medicine of the General Administration of Sport of China—joined sports medicine experts from Peking University Third Hospital, the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing Tongren Hospital of Capital Medical University, the Peking University Institute of Sports Medicine, Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Dalian University, Nanjing Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University, Guangdong Sports Hospital, the Sports Services Department of the Beijing 2022 Organising Committee, Villa Stuart Sports Clinic, Eden Reha (Germany), Shutan Sports Rehabilitation and Health Center, Ciming Sports Medicine Center, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Together, they interpreted industry achievements and development prospects in the new era of Chinese sports medicine. At the conference, companies including Baihurun, 150 Life Sciences, Dornier MedTech, Letekang, and Lexi showcased the latest technologies and applications in the field of sports medicine.

On the afternoon of June 5, the special forum on athletic performance and physical conditioning featured keynote speeches by Dr. Cao Xiaodong from Shanghai SIPG Football Club, Mr. Zhao Xiaofeng, a specially appointed athletic performance expert by the General Administration of Sport of China, and Dr. Li Songbo from Beijing Sport University. Through classic case studies, they provided insightful sharing on how to effectively enhance athletes’ physical fitness and scientifically prevent sports injuries.

Certified Training Course for Football Team Physicians


As one of the concurrent events of this exhibition, the Football Team Physician Certification Training Course sparked immense popularity. Participants engaged in hands-on practice, enhancing their skills in the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic football-related injuries, as well as other conditions. The event also provided a valuable opportunity to build an extensive professional network for sharing knowledge and experience, creating a highly engaging atmosphere.

3 Professional Seminars


Three specialized seminars were also well-attended. Soreha, in collaboration with renowned European sports medicine institutions and experts, introduced its distinctive “Soreha Sports Medicine” concept based on the evidence-based medical framework of Medical Training Therapy (MTT). The Donier seminar focused on sharing scientific and clinical evidence regarding extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) for various sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries. Meanwhile, the Pukang Kejian seminar discussed new interdisciplinary concepts in muscle rehabilitation following sports injuries.

“Starry Sky” Training Camp Program Signing Ceremony


To promote the development of youth football in China, the China Education Association for International Exchange and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. completed the signing ceremony for a strategic partnership on the “Full Sky Stars” training camp program at the 4th World Football Conference; at the 2nd Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference, the Beijing Football Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yingzhi Rehabilitation Group, a professional rehabilitation institution. The two parties will engage in strategic collaboration across multiple areas, including sports injury prevention, risk management of sports injuries, sports rehabilitation, professional training, and sports integration, to jointly advance the development of the sports and health industries.

With this, the 2019 International Conference and Exhibition on Sports and Exercise Health concluded successfully in Beijing.
