VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) learned from foreign media that on June 24, U.S. local time, biopharmaceutical company BioEclipse Therapeutics completed a $7.7 million Series A financing round. The proceeds from this round will be used to support the company’s advancement of clinical-stage research on its anti-cancer drug.

It is reported that this round of financing was led by Revelis Capital Group, with participation from Tsingyuan Ventures, DEFTA Partners, and TSVC. In addition, BioEclipse Therapeutics has expanded its board of directors. Elona Baum, Managing Director at DEFTA Partners, and Oliver Hopkinson, Co-Founder and Manager at Revelis Capital Group, will join the board of directors of BioEclipse Therapeutics.

BioEclipse Therapeutics, headquartered in California, USA, is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to addressing oncology challenges. The company expects to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the FDA and initiate a new phase of clinical trials by the end of 2019.

BioEclipse Therapeutics, Inc.’s flagship product is CRX-100, a biologic agent for targeted cancer therapy. CRX-100 is designed to activate patients’ natural immune cells to eliminate cancer cells, thereby creating a healthy cellular environment that prevents cancer recurrence. This therapy offers new clinical treatment options for patients with both solid and hematologic malignancies, providing novel approaches to address diseases that remain unresolved in current medical practice.

In conventional pharmacological regimens, the periodic administration of anticancer drugs sharing the same mechanism of action inevitably leads to drug resistance in cancer cells, thereby reducing therapeutic efficacy. CRX-100 addresses this longstanding challenge in traditional medicine by combining immunotherapy with a synergistic, multi-target mechanism that activates the body’s natural immune cells to eliminate tumor cells. Furthermore, as CRX-100 acts exclusively on immune cells and exerts its effects solely through their activation, it does not cause adverse side effects in the human body. Unlike certain potent anticancer agents that damage healthy tissues while destroying cancer cells, patients treated with CRX-100 need not be concerned about such collateral damage.
