Computation-Driven Innovative Drug R&D Provider

Intelligent Finance APP learned today that XtalPi (02228), an innovative platform enterprise empowering new drug and new material R&D with AI + robotics, announced that the innovative drug pipeline RTX-117 of its incubated company ReviR Therapeutics ("ReviR") has recently achieved the milestone result of "dual filing and dual approval" (IND approval) in both China and the United States, combined with the successful progress of multiple collaborations.XtalPi will receive milestone payments totaling tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars from ReviR.ReviR will continue to complete the subsequent clinical development of RTX-117, and XtalPi has the right to participate in the sales revenue sharing and subsequent licensing revenue sharing of this pipeline.

CMT is caused by genetic mutations, characterized by strong progression and high disability rates. It is both a rare disease and the most common type of hereditary peripheral neuropathy, with over 2.6 million patients globally. RTX-117, developed by XtalPi in collaboration with ReviR based on its AI + robotics drug discovery platform, is China's first innovative Class 1 pipeline drug targeting CMT. It is also currently the only drug in China that intervenes in the disease process from the molecular origin, addressing disease-related pathological pathways.Expected to break the long-standing deadlock of lacking effective treatment drugs for CMT, tapping into a potential global treatment market exceeding $10 billion.Notably, RTX-117 is not only suitable for the existing CMT patient population but also has significant potential for indication expansion, with a potential target population estimated to exceed 50 million, nearly 20 times the current number of CMT patients.

The mechanism of action of RTX-117 lies in precisely targeting the key pathways responsible for CMT. By inhibiting the abnormally activated Integrated Stress Response (ISR), it restores normal mRNA translation, thereby exerting therapeutic effects. According to ReviR, preclinical data shows that RTX-117 demonstrates high potency and a strong ability to bind to its target, significantly inhibits the ISR, and effectively restores motor function in model animals.

RTX-117 is the first milestone achievement in a series of R&D pipelines from the deep collaboration between XtalPi and ReviR.The preclinical data and the speed of clinical approval both exceeded the expectations of both parties. The upcoming clinical research will evaluate the safety and efficacy of this breakthrough therapy, offering potential treatment hope to millions of patients worldwide who are afflicted by CMT and related conditions.
